It's crazy that the NFC playoff picture is still up in the air so much, yet another year where the overall team talent in the NFC outweighs the AFC

 

Today is finally here!! Lots of big games today. Ryan / Chase/ Austin are gonna be shitting bricks today likely due to nerves. Chase isn't even talking he's so nervous.

 

Lions win 24-21.

My predictions for division title games-

Lions 27 Packers 24 ( I feel the upset, have all week)

Steelers 23 Bengals 16

Edit: rodgers came back and got it done - but those were maybe the worst refs ive ever seen in a game.

 

As a 49er fan, I am curious what you, Sythe users, have to say about Jim Harbaugh's decision to let go of Alex Smith.

 

I think the risk ultimately panned out pretty well honestly. I still think Kaepernick will develop and improve...but unfortunately now he will have to without Harbaugh there, as he mutually agreed to part ways with the team.

I still think Kaepernick has the tools to be a beast, this was just an unlucky season for the 49ers - lost a lot of games they could have won - and dealt with a lot of injuries.

In other news, the playoff matches are set.

Here they are, and my predictions:

Cincy vs Colts- 2 incredibly inconsistent and pretty overrated teams in my opinion. I literally have no idea who to pick but I'll go with the Colts to win 31-21.

Baltimore vs Pittsburgh- Always a good game pretty much. This will be a violent one. I like Pittsburgh 23-20 in a great contest.

Dallas vs Detroit - This is perhaps the most intriguing match-up of the week. That Cowboys o-line versus the Detroit d line. However, after Suh apparently stepped on Rodgers today, it is highly likely he will get suspended for this one. I just think ultimately the Cowboys offense will be too much and Stafford will make too many mistakes. Cowboys 27 Lions 20

Arizona vs Carolina - An emphatic road win today by Carolina has them trending on the up and up. The Cardinals on the other hand continue to free-fall. Despite betting my boy Lorenzo on the Panthers winning, I'll go with Arizna winning 24-10.

 

Yeah it's really sad to see Harbaugh leave after all the great things he's done for the 49ers organization but regardless, I know he'll do great things at Michigan, assuming that he chooses that path.

As for playoff predictions, I believe that the Seahawks have the potential to win it again but I'm hoping for an 'underdog' like the Cowboys just because I'm a 49er fan

Well, the Bears are cleaning house honestly as much crap as Cutler has gotten I can't blame him all of the way the defense was horrible and when you're playing from behind all of the time what do you expect to happen. I am happy Trestman is gone as well as Emery the Bears window is closing and they need to sure up the secondary as well as their line backing core before the window closes. Next is the Jets which I think personally Rex Ryan will get a job somewhere else. Mike Smith from Atlanta is gone to which I think is the correct decision based on the fact that you come out with playoffs on the line and give that pathetic performance and Atlanta hasn't done anything in a few years. 49ners made a massive mistake in my opinion one losing season and you fire Jim. What a moronic mistake.

 

As a 49er fan, I hate myself because the organization has just lost one of the greatest coaches of their franchise history and is replacing him with the horrible Jed York. I'd hate to lose my faith but i don't think York has the capability of bringing success to the team. Any opinions on Jed York?

I bet he gets a head coaching job actually Rex Ryan really isn't a bad coach.

 

Cutler's contract efficiently hamstrung the defense, it's the Front Office's fault for giving him that giant contract. With that being said - he couldn't do shit with his superstar WRs, great TE and great HB. He's surrounded in talent and couldn't perform. He's not the future of the Bears. He will be signed elsewhere next year however.

Rex shouldn't get another HC job although he might.

They didn't fire Harbaugh, he accepted a contract going back to College football where he's paid considerably more.

In a head coach role he is bad. His poor drafts and lack of attention to detail alongside tempers and immaturity are all reasons why he is a poor HC. I would definitely looking to pick him up as a defensive coordinator like austin said however, he's great at that.

 

Cincy v Colts- Colts win easily 28-10, the Bengals defense will struggle to reign in the high octane offense of the Colts. However, if Andrew Luck makes a lot of key mistakes, this could be flipped.

Dallas v Detroit- If Romo can really get going, which I think he will, then I like the Cowboys to win 27-17

Arizona v Carolina- Even with Cam Newton playing the way he is, the Cardinals still have enough juice to breeze past the shaky Panthers, maybe 27-10

Baltimore v Pittsburgh- Ravens win 28-20
