It's indeedy OK for beginner, you should think realistic; Where's the shadow? Where's the depth? There isn't anything but text floating on whu..? You know?

I just wanted to experiment with the shatter pieces+knife tool and see what I could make.

 

I like it, its pretty good for a beginner. Good job eitherway.

 

I like it, I'm just concerned that EVERY single person excluding me and Thuglife (Who has posted in this thread) essentially have the same signature.

Is it one artist? one tutorial? or does everyone has a fixation with 'shattered 3Dness'. I think it is very, very ugly.

On topic;

Seems a little plain, could look more bold/visible with a different coloured gradient in the BG. Other than that I like it.

Well, what I think, is the reason everyone has the same type of signature is because we tend to copy, even if its just a bit, then we start liking the style we copied, and develop more on it. In this case, its shatterdness or 3d.

 

Maybe add some colour? just a little bit like a glow/tint of a bright colour? your sig looks epic though
