New Soccer Rule.

If you don't like soccer, why are you giving out your opinions on how the game should be changed.

 

How do you even think that "rule" is fair? It creates an unfair advantage for the team that scores first.

They have a chance at 3 points when they are ahead..
They have a chance at 2 points when they are even..

(That seems unfair to me).


Also even if a game went like;
1-0 (3 points to H)
1-1 (2 points to H, 1 to A)
1-2 (0 points to H, 3 to A?)
2-2 (2 points to H, 1 to A?)

Is that even fair?


The rule itself is ridiculous. Even if the game is 0-0, it can be a brilliant game with a lot of chances. (Do you really think teams would try HARDER then they already are at winning if they implemented that rule?)

 

I wouldn't call it flamebaiting. I just know how over protective some people get about soccer.

At least you can be polite in criticism. Nobody likes to see a draw, it makes me feel cheated that I spent the time watching it.

Your last paragraph is entirely correct except that I'm Australian. Still, only the really serious posh-ass people call it football.

Hell yes the MLS blows and World Cup occer even gets my attention to watch it. It can get quite thrilling.

I propose they add a 25 ft tall and a 250 ft wide backboard around the goal. That would make it 100x more exciting.

Does the word "tie" or "draw" mean anything to you? Why would you create an unfair advantage in a game which doesn't even need it? (Playing defensively is a tactic, playing aggresively is a tactic. Your suggestion would take away the whole "tactic/strategy" situation.

Sorry but I don't agree, it wouldn't be fair at all.

Something i've wondered however is if there should be a "Bonus point" thats able to be earnt. If you beat a team by 5+ goals, then you get 1 extra point? (This is for things like the group stage at the Fifa World Cup, etc.)

 

Thats like saying USA should be out of the world cup because England scored the first goal, so the USA lost and Slovenia and England both came on top of them.

You wouldn't of liked your rule if it was in play then.
