Jagex Selling Runescape GP now! thoughts?

Wouldn't surprise you if jagex had there own RWT website?

 

I've always wondered this as well.. Jmod spawns in 1bil per day.. sells on sythe = $300 ontop of their salary a day

 

runescape could make 100x more money if it started a legit gp selling service lol. Hopefully they don't!

 

I'm sure someone here is a jmod selling gold.

 

It would be tracked/monitored and the person would be sacked.

It would also cause mass inflation and eventually one lobster would cost 100k or something stupid like that.

 

Jmods don't have the ability to get gold off of their Staff accounts. If there was a Jmod who actually got caught selling gold, they wouldn't just be fired, they could get sued or possibly imprisoned

 

naw jmods would get fired and its pretty much not worth it.

Their accounts have to be super tracked. They would also probably be sued for 10 times the amount they had earned.

As for JAGEX the company, that's a different story, but they would probably charge $1/mill instead of like .33/mill here.

The real question is, would you pay $1/mill from a guaranteed legit seller, who is 100% in stock 24/7?

 

With the alchemists amulet promotion on the SoF, you could get gold for .50/m from the squeal in addition to all the exp lamps.

 

They're not directly selling GP though. However, considering they've done Micro transactions and now an indirect way of selling GP (through Bonds), I reckon it's only a matter of time before they sell GP properly. Or items, or something.

 

I agree with brendan. Its only a matter of time. They will then sell their gp to all players directly. Watch jagex at christmas do something like that... Like : We are selling a Bandos for 20$ for Christmas! -.-

 

They probably won't do it directly for a little while, I'm sure they know the implications that will arise once they begin to do so. They'll keep finding ways to do it indirectly for a little while long.

 

JMods can't sell gold, as you can only log in to a Jmod account when at the workplace (Jacmob confirmed that I believe), so that's a flaw.

And, if Jagex did sell gold, there would just be mass inflation so it wouldn't be worth it.

Tbh, I don't like how they're selling spins and bonds now.

All-in-all, i think it'll be a disastrous day when Jagex decides to sell tradeable items that are worth something, or pure GP.
