New rank idea

Having fun coming up with ideas for Sythe this week so here is another one.

You all know how we got our +5 donor, +25 donor, etc ranks right? How about a +5 scammers banned, 25+ scammers banned rank?

Why I like this idea: It gives users who don't donate or can't donate a chance to earn some sort of rank without being staff or doing special events.

It just sounds like something fun to have.

Probably the easiest suggestion to implement that I have brought up this week, any thoughts other than 'its unneeded' Lol​

E: Also wanted to address a future comment I'm sure would be made about how it would be hard for admins/mods to keep up with everyones ban count. The best way to do this would be to have users 'apply' for the title. If they were looking to get the +5 scammers banned title, they would need to make a post with links to the reports & 5 scammers they have had banned, so all the mods would need to do is check and confirm the links and issue the title.

 

I don't think getting people banned is something that is being promoted at the moment.
All this rank really would show is that you've been scammed x amount of times lol
Also I really wouldn't want to go find my reports.

 

Support because it would give people an incentive to report people, but the bad thing is alot of fake scam reports might pop up just to get the rank.

Thats why I said you would have to apply for the rank, showing proof of all 5 scammer reports or however many you have done, so mods see that the person/people were in fact banned

 

Yeah i agree on that point but its a waste of time lol its just showing how bad sythe is and how many scammers there are :/ its a negative push away to our newcomers.

 

I support this, incentive to report scammers/vaders.

In that case you have my full support, would give the community an incentive to actually report people rather than hide them : ).

 

I do too, but thats mainly just to scare of scammers that I'm not easy to fool.
And that it will cost you some.

I guess it couldn't harm anybody and more reports are always nice

 

No support, I like the idea and it sort of reminds me of when fighter pilots mark off each kill on the side of their planes. However, there'd be too many fake scam reports and people could just set up accounts that they would then ban.
