chrisarchie seems like a kewl and chill guy to me, I support Jagex taking him rather than someone like Mlgudi

 

I think this is a good idea on Jagex's part. Possibly one of the best decisions they have made in a while. I just hope he tends to the community that he was once/still is a big part of.

Sparc Mac is defiantly a lot more into RS than Chris Archie, Chris Archie can't even be bothered to stream. I feel like even if Sparc Mac didn't make money of youtube/streaming he'd still play RS and maybe even still make videos, can't say the same for Chris though.

 

I hope he doesnt influence the community too much to vote for things he wants like what Sparc Mac did with corp etc.

 

Stupid jagex, hiring RWT'ers to work for them.

 

In their defense, it makes sense to hire someone with knowledge and experience in RWT. He can help them combat it, and im sure brings alot to the table in that area, aswell as others. At the end of the day jagex is a buisness, and they dont cater to us out of the goodness of their hearts, nethier does he. If he took a job with them, its for the same reasons, to make money. I think people almost look at jagex as a sort of goverment, they're not, its just a very refined buisness.

 

Most of the new YT JMods are dimwit fucks.

hahah, maybe I just want to know his reason for saying so. though i don't agree with the new hires, they still could bring more community into the game.

 

b0aty is incredibly popular in the RS community. His streams get by far the largest audience of anybody in the RS world. Jagex is looking to get more intimate with their community and are actually doing a decent job.

They're starting to realize that you can't treat your customers like they're a bunch of idiots. You can't keep telling people that everything is great when something isn't going well. They tried that for a very long time and it alienated the community. This is part of a bigger effort to rebuild the relationship with their users and accept that certain factors are outside of their control.

I hope it works out, from everything I have seen b0aty is a standup guy.

 

Well said, i believe the same thing as jagex just didn't give a fuck about the community and when they brought in all the updates and people started quitting, they finally realized that the way for them to make the most would simply be to just listen and get more involved within the community.
