    imo they should make it so it is required to show proof funds if it's like a $50+ dice. It's unfortunate to say that people who probably had no money diced a fake amount, won and get away with it. This would also reduce the amount of outstanding debts - if you gamble you should not be allowed to delay payments.

    There is a dicing section for people that donated to Sythe also.

    The problems that are being discussed in this thread are directly related to the private competitions held here at Sythe.org. It's based on a random number generator(dice). Where people can compete for cash, miniranks, gp etc.

    I think the grey area comes of how does someone know if there is an outstanding debt or not? When I post a dice bet I don't go search the reports to see if the person has unpaid debt. Not to mention what happens when they qnr and I lose but find they owed money do they have to refund me? Also what if a report just hasn't been made yet because they person "trust" someone to pay out. Is it not true that you must have payment method at the time of the bet? Therefore trust shouldn't be a factor , you dice and don't pay instantly (unless extreme circumstances) then you should be banned should you not?

    So if someone scams and has a report open and I make a trade with them and they scam me too, it's my fault I didn't check the report section so therefore they don't have to pay me my money back? That's the shittiest logic i've ever heard.

    Ok well let's assume this wasn't the rule. What's to stop someone from repeatedly dicing while insolvent, accumulating more and more debt then just being banned. We don't want people kiting their debts.

    If we place some responsibility onto the counter party to take reasonable steps to ensure the first party had the capacity to enter into a private contest (capacity being that they don't have outstanding unpaid debts) then we can avoid people kiting their debts.

    I don't see why this is controversial: don't trade someone you know is bankrupt or insolvent.

    We still allow the new debt to be valid where the unpaid previous debt was concealed.

    I should also add this is a rule that applies to private completions (ie dicing) only.

    But as a general guideline you should always check to see if there are outstanding debts owed by your counter party before trading. It's plain common sense. Takes all of a two second search.

    @Sythe so what if I post and then someone with an outstanding debt qnr and I lose should I have to pay? Because once it's accepted you can not refuse the roll? Or can I refuse the roll if I find out there's a outstanding debt first?

    "If you have an outstanding bet, you may not dice others until the debt is paid."

    They are breaking the rules by doing this so no the dice roll isn't valid. However if the outstanding debt is concealed (the other party had no reasonable way of knowing the debt existed) then it would be considered valid even though it is technically not valid.

    Sounds complicated but really its as simple as this: "oh you quoted and rolled me, let me check if you have any outstanding dicing debts" "yes you do" "this roll is not valid"

    Same thing as "oh you qnr'd me, let me check if you transcribed the dice bbcode correctly" "oh you didn't?" "this isn't a valid roll"

    It's just basic due diligence. Did both parties follow the rules as far as you can tell? Yes? Then the dice roll is valid.
