Well, they weren't lying about the last nuke were they? I doubt they can 100% stop every single bot though.

 

Don't think they can ever stop simba.
However epicbot and rarebot will most likely be gotten rid of.

 

This is very interesting indeed, this time I'm definitely not going to doubt Jagex one bit. It was funny before the old nuke no believed that they could have stopped the bots for a relatively long period of time and people really did expect a quick turn around of a week for the clients to be updated.

Jacmob seems to be pretty confident about this statement, I doubt he would come out with something so strong if he didn't himself believe that this update would encompass the majority or all different botting platforms.

It took months for the developers to release the new clients, and if this update is any time soon then they were only released for a couple of weeks. I can't see many developers sticking around, seems like they are fighting a losing battle.

They'd only be able to ruin OCR bots with changes in model shapes and colors...Even then it'll be max like a week or something before the code can be changed to accommodate the difference.

 

Well theres nothing much you can do except to just wait out and see.

 

Yea, I'm pretty sure they'll change Uptext again. But with colours SRL has tolerance so it really wouldn't do much to stop use. cts3 is now implemented in Simba for more accurate colour finding so that is a plus.

I speculate whatever changes they make will impact their legit players and do more harm than good to the game.

We shall see.

How can they get rid of color bots? It would be impossible, honestly.

 

I agree that it will be very difficult to stop all color and shape and similar bots while leaving the game playable for humans.

Maybe they're changing the way in which loaders work? Including the Rs2Applet class inside the encrypted file so that it would be illegal to load RuneScape without permission(I don't know if this is possible).
