Need help regarding an account

Hey sythe.org,

I've recently bought an account from an user and I played on it for about 1-2 days, not much, maybe 1-3 hours total.
Today the account has been manually and permanently banned for "Heavily contested account- continuously changing hands."

What does this mean? What can I do in this situation?

 

Can you post a picture of the ban-meter?

After an account has been banned, there's only so much you can do. I assume because of that ban reason that he continually sold it and recovered it and it finally got banned.

 

Lol I've never seen an account banned like this before. A pic would be interesting. However, its likely that PA is right. You should only buy accounts from very trusted members. Not much you can do except learn a lesson

It means Jagex knows and can tell the account is shared. Happened to me once before when My brother and I shared accounts and logged in back and forth from hundreds of miles away.

 

Bad luck. It wont be unbanned, the user would have recovered the account to many times as it's "continuously changing hands" which is against the rules. Should only buy accounts of players with big reputations, that way you wont run into issues like this.

 

I've never seen this before, I'd assume the seller has sold and recovered the account a lot of times, or it's just been sold legitimately through many users.

Asking to have this moved to a better section for you.

 

Damn this is actually pretty scary, I didn't know this was possible O.O I rent out maxed mains myself and it would suck for this to happen lol.

This is most likely because to many recoveries being sent in , and they expect the account being sold.

 

I think this means the account would have been sold multiple times, so it's had multiple owners and been recovered multiple times by the original owner. Sorry for your loss you should create a scam report against whoever sold it to you.

 

This seems like a new type of ban they're employing against accounts they know have been shared/sold/recovery battled

 

The account has probably been logged onto by many people in different locations which triggered their system. It's just another reason to stay away from the account market.

 

I assume there's no way for an account with a perm ban like this to be recovered..?

Looks like most likely won't get unbanned, but you can attempt it, not sure how you'd appeal that though...

I've NEVER seen or heard of this before... Are they possibly starting to crack down on account trading/selling? :O
