Need Help Editing HOSTS File

hi i need to edit my HOSTS file in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\.
When ever i save it, it says
Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.

I am using Norton Internet Security.
Please Help!

If i understand you correct, maybe you don't have the correct privileges?

no im an administrator on my PC

Sign in under administrator and do it in safe mode. Also temporarily turn off nortons.

Yeah nortons is a pain to turn off but you can just have to look a lot to me like 20mins
