Good computer that fails?
My computer is acting really slow latly. I dont know why. I did a Virus search (Avg free) and didint find any except 12 cookies... (Full comp search) I can barley run 2 bots on at same time(RsBot) and i check "use low cpu"

My computer hardware is:

Motherboard: MSI i945P http://www.ciao.co.uk/MSI_945P_Neo3_F_motherboard_ATX_i945P__6763142

Graphic card: 8800 gts OC (BFG) http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr88320gtsoce.aspx

CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz (Cant find a good link)

Ram: 3gb ram Ballistix 8500 (Cant find good link but: http://over-clocker.net/?p=5

The chassi got a big fan on the side and should be able to keep it cool enough.

I did a hijack this:

I use windows vista x64 But use classic.

Anybody got any ideas? Im pretty sure i got good enough computer to atleast have a bot open and play fallout 3..

Good computer that fails?
Hmm, look for task manager, and close all browsers and windows, and see how much pc usage is used when idling. Look at processes and see what's hogging your system.

Good computer that fails?
I didint notice any weird. i took screenie:

Open a firefox or even a game, then take a screenie of that, and see if there is a difference.

Just me or does java take Allot more cpu and memory than it Should? (im not even logged in)(it is RSBOT)

Good computer that fails?
If java is taking that much cpu all the time, then yes. Is javaw.exe always on?

Also, is it slow loading your getting? If it is slow loading you may have a slow hard drive with low RPM.

Good computer that fails?
Hmm. That might be it. So i gotta get a faster Hard Drive? Might aswell get a bigger one then.

And Javaw.exe is not always on only when botting.

Good computer that fails?
Reformat your shit, bra

Good computer that fails?
Defragment your harddrive, if that doesn't work manually open up your computer and use some compressed air to dust off everything. Often this helps a lot.

Otherwise, try using another scanning program. (And yes by the way, Java uses a huge amount of CPU on my computer all the time.) :)

Good computer that fails?
I think i found the reason.

My hard drive just simply sucks. Im getting a new 500gb one with 72000 Rpm

here are the specs for the hard drive:

Code:
Features:
• Serial ATA 3.0Gbps Interface Support
• Improved recording stability over temperature with PMR
• Advanced dynamic FOD control for best data integrity
• Intelligent compensation of external disturbance
• SATA Native Command Queuing Feature
• Device Initiated SATA Power Management
• Staggerd Spin-up Support
• Environment friendly product with RoHS compliance
• Improved performance with dual-ARM based firmware
• ATA S.M.A.R.T. Compliant
• ATA Automatic Acoustic Management Feature
• ATA 48-bit Address Feature
• ATA Device Configuration Overlay Feature
• NoiseGuard™
• SilentSeek™

Drive Configuration
• Capacity - 500 GB
• Interface - Serial ATA 3.0 Gbps
• Buffer DRAM Size - 16 MB
• Byte per Sector - 512 bytes
• Rotational Speed - 7200 RPM

Performance Specifications
• Average Seek time(typical) - 8.9 ms
• Average Latency - 4.17 ms
• Data Transfer Rate / Media to/from Buffer(Max.) - 175 MB/sec
• Data Transfer Rate / Buffer to/from Host(Max.) - 300 MB/sec
• Drive Reday Time(typical) - 12 sec
Price: 79.961343 U.S. dollars (in swedish : 649 kr)

This should be good right?

Good computer that fails?
Yeah. Like you said, harddrive definitely is a thing to check. You've already checked your task manager, I don't see anything in HiJack This. My computer also runs a LOT slower than it should..my harddrive is old, so I'm buying a new one. :)

Make sure if you get a new one that the RPM is pretty high if you want fast speeds. :D

Good computer that fails?
them specs should be fine on vista, But yeah its most probably the fact that your hard drive has just got so clogged up since your last reformatted (if ever!) and it really does slow computers down after time.

I usually reformat every few months as its just easy way to speed up your pc.

The only other reason it could be slow is if you have missing drivers, But thats very doubtful.

That HD should be good.

Merchant, his computer should not be slowing down because of vista, the specs are over the recommended for vista.

Take a screenie of task manager when running rsbot.

Well, if you're getting one with 72,000 RPM, then get a blast shield, that'd break the hard drive's disk in a bunch of peices of high-tech computing technology! My HD spins slower than that, and I egt about 5 bots with 2 GB of RAM and Vista.
