My Pure - Advice on next steps

Hey guys,

Would love to hear your thoughts on how I should proceed with my pure.

it’s currently a Tome of Fire G Mauler with:

50 att, 60 Str, 50 HP, 1 prayer, 31 range, 75 mage.

I’m struggling with a few things. The gear set up with Smoke battlestaff, ornate maul and tome is a risk of 4m. I’m not willing to risk that unless I’m rushing and I don’t really want to just rush.

Should I get 25/31 prayer so I can protect?

Is there any cheaper set ups I can use for now? I’m still getting to grips with Pking.

I think I’m also going to get my range up - should I use darts and get some HP levels or should I Cannon this?

I’m feeling a bit squishy with my current HP level.

What stats and gear set ups should I be aiming for?

I’m assuming you’re using flames of Zammy. You should increase your mage level to 95 and try surge out. I currently run

50 ATT
75 STR
01 RNG
95 MAG
01 PRY
52 HP
01 DEF

The more damage you can deal with your surge the better so you’ll want to risk more to up that. The rest is rng based on your strength level but ideally you’d wanna hit in the 40’s with surge and let the maul knock out the rest IMO range is a waste unless you plan on doing something else with your char.

 

Currently using wave. Should I swap to flames?

How are you finding your HP level at 52?
