Alright. So here's my main issue. When I'm behind, I can't seem to catch up with anyone. I was at a nasus top, took his tower at about 12 minutes when he tele'd dragon. Bot did well and killed him off the tp, giving me a free tower and a half by the time he got back. The problem is, i derped hard in teamfights and flash+r to save my derpy leblanc a couple of times, thus leaving me 0-3. After an above average lane, i was now shit.

Luckily, kayle's endgame is just retarded and while my team was stalling at our mid inhib i was able to finish off my second top tower and take their entire base towers (yes, down to nexus, Kayle is broken.) in under 45 seconds because of my splitting farm. My team agreed that my ult is very useful in teamfights, but with the kayle mobility and splitting potential, it was pretty smart to send me top/bot.

I would consistently take an objective and get anal rammed by 2-3 of their team who backed, but my team didn't really mind because I was securing and not feeding much gold.

But the problem is, I still feel like complete shit even if i took most of the objectives by splitting, because i didn't do a damn thing for teamfights. Agreed that some comps work like that, but yeah.

My main question is, how do you recover from a couple of bad plays?

This was Plat 5 game, plat 3 MMR. by the way.

For plat that kayle build is really poop, I have a lot of very high elo friends that main/often play kayle and they never get a rageblade because its so poop. If you built her correcting you could have been a lot more useful in fights.

This is core with 1 defensive item based on the enemy team

However most pros say when you are behind if you just play correctly and try to avoid dying the other team can potentially throw and allow you to catch up. If you cs well/avoid dying after you get behind you still have a strong chance to do well in fights.

Basically stay calm and accept the fact that everyone has their bad games.

Just try your best to continue helping your team and take it as a learning experience do some extra research afterwards etc.

In a behind game, rageblade is useful because it adds a lot of stats for cheap.
As kayle, the stacks will almost always be up as well.
The only time you go sorc boots over bezerkers is if the enemy team has a lot of MR or a lot of CC, beacuse you'll want power in singular hits over multiple hits.

In this case, both teams were squishy minus one hard tank but we had more CC.

And GA as my defensive because usually I would get focused quickly and be able to escape with ult or just a W.

Nah, The Coon is right. Your build is terrible lol.

Always get nash, lich, cap, void, sorc boots. Core items. The greater magic pen for your Q/E is far better than increased attack speed. Kayle main here.

In regards to what to do, it comes with practice and game knowledge. KDA is irrelevant to me if you know what you're doing. Few things that nearly all high level players/boosters should be weary of:

  • objective control - if your team is losing, try secure objectives whenever you can.
  • Vision Control - I've had games where we are losing by 20 kills and 8K+ Gold. We come back by having vision control and baiting/forcing the enemy team into fights that we want and that we win. I cannot strress the importance of this. The amount of games I've won simply due to having greater vision control is pheonominal.
  • If you're losing lane/you've lost lane, don't give up like the typical average player. Generally if you play top/mid and you've lost lane you'll still be significantly stronger/higher level than bot/jungle; so go roam, shove your lane (even if you're losing) and try make plays elsewhere.

There are alot more, but as you play more and your game knowledge increases you'll understand what to do when and how to. Just remember, even if you're 10k gold behind, one fight in your favour and smarter play can win you the game.

"How to recover from bad plays"

1) You optimise on your opponents bad plays, you're not going to often find your self out playing insanely from behind in a toe to toe fight, wait for your opponent to mess up, spot it, punish it. That's something I don't see while i'm boosting. At low levels people just let them get away with anything and it's silly. Don't do it.

2) You don't play to catch up, you play to not be heavy. You've already fucked your team over at this point if you find your self misplaying a lot, don't try anything dumb, farm your lane, stay under tower all game if you need to, don't make a bad situation worse, your team CAN carry you, it's possible, don't make their job any harder for them.

3) NEVER EVER EVER EVER try and save somebody else in a game of league at the expense of your own life, You'll only end up fucking up plays and 9 times out of 10 you won't actually save them and they will go ahead and die anyway, just adding more problems to your ever growing list. If somebody else fucks up and gets caught out, let them, It's the only way some people learn.

Appreciate the advice. So never rageblade on Kayle? Why is that?

Never is a bit harsh. Up to you really. However reason being is that there are far better items for Kayle than Rageblade...hence don't build it.

The problem with rageblade is while it's ridiculously cost effective at it's best, it's not at all cost effective in the first few autos/spell casts. If you feel like you're just going to be bursting people (Which often you will be) there's better options out there since you'll be putting off your big damage item (rabadoobadubs or void).

But if for whatever reason you'll be autoing for relatively long periods of time, then yeah. It's one of the best items in the game you could get.

Ugh.. your build is bad BUT don't take my word for it, everyone has their own build and playstyle.

The way you feel is because you just play bad and it's not because of the game that you played bad, it's because you just feel like shit in real life. I suggest taking a break and think about it if necessary and go back and play with a different mindset.

When you are feeding, stop building damage, all that will happen is you will die instantly, just start being a secondary support. build wards, sightstone and tanky items. try to make yourself useful. also don't overextend even if you lose out on cs

Go ahead and disregard that first bit. Don't build sightstone. You don't need defensive item on Kayle. But DON'T overextend like he said.

Overextending is fine as long as you create map pressure that frees the rest of your team to get objectives or get an easy gank.

honestly i'd let him learn that for himself. It's a difficult strategy to use in solo q at even higher levels since it requires your team as well.

If youve fallen behind and see that you arent doing anything in a teamfight peel for the enemy carry while protecting your own. In the case of kayle focus healing maybe your fed teammate instead of yourself and ultingg them etc.

For kayle maic pen is probs the way to go, in the end game her Q can easily chunk peoples health and it has a great slow. This can be helpful in teamfights because with the right cool downs youll be sending in multiple q's while splashing autos with your e

Go around and play support even if you arent one, objectives, wards, be a human timer, in team fights go bait them for your team.

Everygame isn't winnable. just stay calm and do your best but.. its not always winnable.

When playing carry champions, it is often hard to passively sit in the backline, waiting for the enemy to make the next move.

When you're put in an undesirable position, there's nothing wrong with playing passively, as it's safer for you and helps your team overall by not feeding.
