My Name. =[

So, I like my school.
But my problem is that I don't like getting into social things, like sporting things and such, I'm heaps good in sports too.
But the thing is that, my name is kinda of out place, it's not like the other guys normal names. My name is 'Redmon'

I hate people teasing my name because like I said it's out of place.
They say stupid stuff such as bluemon it annoys me,
If I joined some sportting club there going to bag me out about it, im shore of it.
Also hate, when my friends ask me why 'Redmon' I just make a stupid excuse why it's that. :S

I hope someone understands my problem, just have low self esteem I guess.

Dont worry about what people say man, besides thats a sick name. There was a kid in my school growing up named Gayland Hill. He said that no matter what people will make fun of you, but its better than being named Itakeittheass. Just be proud of who you are.

 

In my opinion that's a pretty damn awesome name, you shouldn't be ashamed of it. It's very unique, and it's sad that your classmates are too naive to see that.

 

Be proud of your name, you'll be the only person with it, which a heck of a lot cooler than being 1 of the 14 Brandon's or Jacob's or Ashley's in your class. For those who tease you, ignore them Immature in other words.

Completely disagree. If he WANTS his friends to call him Red, have them call you Red. But if you just do it because you're fed up with the teasing, you're letting the bullies win.

When you're 18 you can legally change it if you want.

 

If you really don't like it then change it. Get a nickname and force it to stick. I was named Jeremy at birth but decided that the name didn't suit me. Now everyone, including my mother, calls me Jeb.

 

He didn't say he dislikes his name; he's merely fed up with being picked on for it. Just to emphasize, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your name.

Getting teased is never fun, but it happens to us all. Sometimes it is something we can physically control, but other times it is out of our control. People pick on others because they either feel bad themselves, or you let the teasing get to you and it shows.

 

If you're really having a problem, you need to have people invent a new nickname for you. Here are some options:

Are you really big? (Tall / Wide)

If so, get people to call you Moose.

Do you like boats?

if so, get people to call you Skipper.

Do you run home to take a shit every lunch hour?

If so, call yourself Shit-Break

Or you could just call yourself Red. Good luck.

 

I do agree with you, actually if you read the rest of my post I emphasize that Redmon is a good name, it's just that, usually, in this cases, it's hard to make the bullies stop.

The best thing to do would be to ignore, but if he's fed up of them making fun of his name, it's hard to ignore them, so needs to get another solution. Violence is a big no-no, a good option would be to get a nickname like Red. If that's not an option he could make up a good story that Redmon is a family name and that, for example, his great great grandfather (not sure if I can say it like that) got it as a nickname on some war.

Anyway, good luck Redmon, and sorry Sanctuary if at any moment I was rude, it wasn't on purpose.

If people are making fun of your name,thats really sad. Be proud of your name and dont let it bother you. Just ignore them and they will stop.
Join the sports in your school and just ignore the immature kids making fun of a perfectly fine name.

 

Don't you usually go by your last name on a team anyways? There are a lot of weird names out there... redmon isn't as weird as Muhammad. Or maybe that's just me
