MotivationMotivation
to give reason, incentive, enthusiasm, or interest that causes a specific action or certain behavior.
Motivation is the reason or reasons for engaging in a particular behavior
If there's one thing I've always struggled to do, it's to be motivated.
I have recently started studying GCSE I.C.T (English education system). However, I have missed 3 out of 5 lessons so far due to authorised absences and partaking in school events. As a result of my lack of attendance, I have fallen behind in the particular unit we are currently studying. For the first part of the unit, you must review 3 multimedia products. Sounds easy enough, but it takes quite a long time for each review and it just doesn't interest me in the slightest.
3 reviews, each using the same boring Microsoft Word template.
- Review a website (Done)
- Review a DVD title screen
- Review a video game title screen
This is just an example of where my lack of motivation affects me in a negative manner. I generally do quite well in school, I have taken my maths exam already (2 years early) and plan to of finished the rest of them this year (1 year early). However, this isn't going to be easy when as soon as something doesn't interest me, I forget how to be motivated and fail.
How do you keep yourself motivated? I know I have college and university to look forward to, but they seem so far away and it isn't going to be an easy route.
