In your opinion, what is the most profitable 99 skill? Looking to gain another 99 this weekend, just curious as to what your opinions are!

Runecrafting if you choose not do do Runespan... If not Slayer or any gathering skill CAN be profitable but I don't recommend training them that way.

If you're asking profitable as in terms of money, and without an conjunction of another skill. I would say Hunter mainly because after 90 you can hunt grenwalls and rake in a staggering 1M/hr although you need to pay close attention and I don't believe there's a script for this particular method.

Doing grenwalls is probably one of the worst things you can do, it's a lot better to do jadinkos seeing as they help tremendously with other skills, unless of course you feel like hunting past 99. Which obviously he doesn't considering his first post said he only wanted to get another 99.

There is a 9 level gap in-between 90-99 and this is opinion based. Also, read my reply more closely I referred a skill that does not work in conjunction with others but solely itself.

The only profitable 99 is thieving, you lose money doing the rest.

Last time I checked, you don't lose money making double astrals or nature in Runescape either so.

Woodcutting, Fletching, Mining, Hunter, Rcing to name a few of the profitable skills. Thieving isn't the only skill that can make profit. You can even profit in cooking. Its all how you do things. Yes you need starting money, but the rewards are greater in the end. I keep seeing you on threads acting like you know everything bro think harder.

Anyways to answer the question Hunter would probably be the best to make money if you don't have much starting cash, but if you can craft double nats go that route.

Mathematically speaking, the money you would make doing grenwalls to 99 hunter from 90 is garbage compared to the amount of time you'd save if you did jadinkos and used the seeds to make potions to train other skills faster. Training skills faster = less time spent training, you can spend your leftover time making money and make more money. So in terms of efficiency, it's WAY better to do jadinkos. Also, double astrals/natures are terrible xp, might as well do runespan and save tons of time and then spend that time making money, you'd make a lot more and get 99 rc faster.

Woodcutting - arctic pines, burning logs that arent incinerated/banked by juju pots, you lose money
Mining - super heat/alching ores/bars, again is a loss of money
Hunter - jadinkos, no money made
RC - runespan, no money
Cooking - Wines, loss of about 60m to get 99, doing rocktail is disgustingly slow and generally a waste of time, if you're REALLY bad at rs I guess you can go ahead and do rocktails and 'profit' while cooking (the profit is really bad too)
Fletching - Broad arrows are no profit since they're untradable, kid. Once again you lose money

These are the best ways to train the skills you listed, and they definitely make no money. Once again, THIEVING is the only skill you profit from, obviously if you choose to train your stats like a moron you can make terrible money, and get the 99 after a couple months.

Stop bashing on other people. OP asked what was the most profitable, you're listing the most "efficient". There's a difference, someone should bash on you for not reading properly and calling others a moron.

For your whole efficient training, a simple answer like Grenwalls that makes easily 800k per hour is better than doing your efficient training methods. OP doesn't sound like one of those nerds that needs to be efficient and concentrate all their time to be able to get 200M skills ASAP.

Not to mention Grenwalls yields decent experience. You would end up with more than thieving I believe, and faster experience in terms of GP + Exp.

I'm not bashing others, I'm simply stating why the skills they listed aren't profitable, and why thieving is the only skill you profit from. I believe you're someone who doesn't understand the concept of efficiency.. for example.. you could spend 10 hours cutting magic logs (woodcutting) like someone suggested. 10 hours of cutting magics yields 280k woodcutting xp and about 1.5m. Now, that's terrible. Why anyone would ever call woodcutting a profitable skill astonishes me and leaves me clueless. You could spend 2 hours at arctic pines and get 280k woodcutting xp, and be left with 8 hours of time left to make money, spend that at somewhere like frost dragons and you're looking at ~16m. So instead of getting 280k woodcutting xp and 1.5m gp in 10 hours, you're getting the same amount of woodcutting xp and 16m cash.

Obviously there are many variables, but that's the general concept. It applies to grenwalls (they're terrible) and lots of other skills people think are "profit".

Read all the other posts you've made in the past bit, you say obviously way to much. It is really annoying to read.At the OP I would say Grenwalls, so hunter, you can then also use the spikes to make extreme ranging later on and save some more money.

Because, if you train thieving, you get jack shit for money. If yuo train mining using runite, you'll get more money, which is more efficient, thieving, but he asked which is the most profitable.

Yes, and out of all the skills, thieving is the most profitable because you can get pharaohs sceptres/dragon scims training it at maximum efficiency, however, the other skills trained at maximum efficiency don't make profit, so you might as well get 99 thieving and make money doing it the fastest way possible.

He asked for our opinions, and this is my opinion. Obviously it's the only correct answer, but you people are free to share your opinions too even though they're not as profitable as thieving. Thieving is only the correct answer here.

Actually, the most profitable skill is Hunter. From 90-99 you do Chinchompers and make some serious bank with them

Thanks

You assume the OP is maxed, no questions asked and you just bashed at people. Frosts makes no where close to 2M an hour, you'd be lucky to get 1M these days with a pack yak.

I just checked (I dont play RS anymore), but Grenwalls don't make 800k anymore, but it still has the potential to make a strong 500k per hour at the start, increasing to 1M as you level closer to 99. Which is just as much as frosts, if not more, and that's assuming there aren't any bots at frosts anymore.

So if you do the math, and even if Jadinkos are 100x faster, the hours saved, you can't really make more money with one of the best, steady money making methods in the game (frosts) when Grenwalls are comparable in terms of GP already.

But please, go ahead and tell me how you lose money on this method. Or if you go with mining, it makes a rather steady 200k at LRC, keeping in mind that LRC is already one of the fastest methods of training mining, and is afkable.

63-99 hunter is 48k carnivorous chinchompas, which translates to 33m, which does not even begin to touch the most profitable 99.

Efficiency isn't in the question, so I won't put it in my answer.

Mining 85-99 via Runite; 822,581,226, but that's so unrealistic so i'll use concentrated gold

Mining 85-99 via concentrated gold; 36,714,600

Runecrafting 77-99 via blood runes (the way I did it); 317,042,784

Just because you are doing something at maximum efficiency doesn't mean it =/= most profitable. You were trying so hard to sound right you made yourself completely wrong.
But I'll answer you your way, you are wrong.

I lol'd, well if you struggle to make 1m an hour at frosts with a yak you're doing something wrong, and like I said, there are lots of variables in the example I gave, and frosts aren't even that good, there are plenty better ways to make money, farming torstol is 20m/hr as of last month (xp weekend may have affected it), and comparing grenwalls to frosts is just laughable.

Just because you are doing something at maximum efficiency doesn't mean it =/= most profitable. You were trying so hard to sound right you made yourself completely wrong.

I'm not completely wrong, not even close, I'm actually 100% correct. OP wants another 99 and looking at it from my point of view (the 100% right view), the only skill that makes profit is thieving, thus making it the most profitable 99, as I explained earlier.
