More girl troubles

Hey guys, i've never posted on sythe about anything other than runescape but i've run into a problem that i decided to see if anyone had any decent advice to give about it. I've had class with this girl for about 6 months now and i've never really talked to her much, i thought she was pretty and thought she'd be fun to date but never really talked to her much.. until the last month. I've become good friends with her and a few days ago she said that she really likes me and i should call her sometime. So, i've been texting/calling her for the past few days now and go back to school tommorrow and get to see her. We've talked over the weekend and both decided we really like eachother and would like to go on a date next weekend. She keeps telling me how she's really into me and hasn't ever liked anyone how she likes me. Now keep in mind, i'm in the 10th grade, i turned 16 just an hour ago (literally) and have had few girlfriends none which were really serious so i'm really nervous as to how to come about this. I've had many girls as friends just most of them were in the friend zone which is the worst place for them to be. But anyways, we've text and i've sorta been pretty casual talking not really expressing how much i actually feel for her and sorta like i'm somewhat shy to tell her? I tell her that i think she's beautiful and i really like her and that i can't wait to go out with her and have a good time. But sometimes she tries to push the conversation like she wants to hurry things? Like She'll always talk about how she really wants to be my girlfriend and it just seems like she wants to rush things while i'm sorta taking things slow.. and since i'm sort of new to this and i want to end up dating her for a good time not just a few weeks because that's how all my relationships have been. I know i'm still young but i want to date her for a while, i know it's not like she's the one i'd marry and all this bull but i really just want to know if i'm going to slow or should i speed it up for her because she might lose interest, or what? Any intelligent advice is appreciated.

I really don't see much of a problem there. If you like her then go for it. She may be going fast now but wait till the excitement goes down a bit and hopefully she won't go so fast.

I agree with happy.
Usually it's the guys who want to rush the relationship and not the girls. I think you have a good situation, she might want to rush you so you can get more serious and intimate. Once it gets close to that point I think she'll take it a bit slower.
Also I think 16 is the perfect age to start getting into the dating scene (I'm only 17 myself). Anyways good luck dude I wish you the best with this girl and hope everything turns out good.

Fair enough you're taking it slow, but you don't want her to lose the "excitement" and then she loses interest in you. If you've been talking to her for the last month or so, then soon she's gonna start losing interest. I think that when you next see her, just ask her out then yeah, if you like her, give her a kiss that night

that's what i'm doing, saturday we're going out to eat and to a movie and i'll ask her out then if the night goes as planned

lol.. nice dude.. way to let the guy down easily.. my advice, dont listen to Gomen, if she says it at this stage and shows genuine excitement, she probobaly means it.. i met my gf at a party went on a date the next weekend and asked her out that night, just celebrated are 2nd anniversary and couldn't be happier, don't mean to sound like a sucker.. but it's the best feeling and you won't feel it if you don't try, so what if it only last a few weeks and she's not right.. she's a stepping stone to the right one in that case.. Just got for it man, what happens happens.. never dreamed i'd still be with my girlfriend 2 years on.

thanks to those of you who have posted helpful things and we are going to the movies and out to eat 2 days from now. and to the douche who is trying to make somebody feel like crap because he probably hasn't ever had a girlfriend and feels the need to take out his anger on people, she has had 2 boyfriends one which lasted 3 months and one which lasted 2 weeks. So, this "she's told every other boyfriend" thing that makes her sound like a whore, not the case with this girl. i have a feeling she might be pretty special. And koolest, that's... great.. i'm not the "hit it and quit it" type of guy.
