Monster hunter World

Just bought this game on the ps4, Anyone else bought it? if so how are you liking it so far?

PS: i've been a huge fan of the previous games on the PSP few years back

 

The combat and tactics looks cool but all the other things seem stupid to me. Might buy in some sale when it arrives on the PC in 1 year.

 

Game is sooo good. Have 70 hours on it in two weeks. My whole day revolves around this game LOL.

Loving it. Put like 95 hours in so far. What weapon are you liking the most?

 

i can't seem to pick one, the 3 i use mostly are ; Switchaxe, Charge blade & Long sword. no idea which one i like the most

 

All this time played and I never even tried the charge or switchaxe. Im usually using bow, longsword, hammer. Bow is really good in this game. Easily another 95 hours trying combinations of weapons and armor out.

 

damn the Switchaxe and charge blade are so strong! try them ASAP!

Cooool! You guys play MH: World too! Same here, I've played it first on the PSP. I played Monster Hunter Freedom back in the day and it was the only other MH I've ever played.

I love every minute of this game. I already put in 210+ hours into it. Using Sword and Shield as my main, Dual Blades as secondary, and I just started LBG this weekend.

I agree with Charge Blades and Switch Axes as powerhouse weapons --- specially the Charge Blade. Literal beast. The skill cap of both weapons are very high. Long Sword is pretty awesome too, it's what my brother uses and it hits pretty hard, specially that move where they jump in the air and hit multiple times when they land.

Gotta say though, I love being the odd guy in a group, using SnS and pretty much being the utility guy in a 4-man team. Quick flash pods, paralysis with my Girros axe (forgot the name!), and decent mounting capabilities too. Can't kill as fast as the others but that's fine with me.

 

Nice to see that you're into this aswel, also saw that PA has added a MHW section. I wonder if that will ever take off.

Haha I was the one who recommended for it to be on the list! But yeah, slow progress on that right now but when MHW opens on PC this September, I'm sure the section will pick up somehow.

Yeah, I'm beginning to get interested in LS as well, except my brother uses it already and we all want to be different from each other. Only issue I have with SnS is that they don't have flashy attacks like these, but I guess the utility factor makes up for that haha.

 

I'm planning to play it once it's released on PC :/

 

that's still a few months right? it's worth the buy tho ^^
