Mod Genstar Corruption/Gross Incompetence complaint

Hi Sythe community,

I don't usually post reports unless I feel like something is extremely out of the ordinary. Today I woke up to 3 reports from the mod @Gen that I believe are a result of corruption or targeting. He decided to whack me with a bunch of the new market violations resulting in the closure of one of my threads. Usually I would just shrug it off and change whatever content is deemed a violation on my thread but I feel like the basis of my temporary closure is shaky at best and would like to take a moment to bring some attention to the favoritism and selectiveness of some staff when it comes to handling new rule violations. The reason why I got my thread lock was a violation of the "stock policy." Either Gen or a competitor purposefully went on my site and inquired about a large amount of gold in order to find that I actually had under the stock amount advertised on my site. I've now removed the stock levels so this won't be a problem.

However, due to this extremely nitpicking behavior by a mod I feel like I've been targeted by him as there are a magnitude of blatant violations on the 07 market section alone! I want an explanation on why he's so trigger happy to close my thread when there's so many other threads that he just chooses to leave alone. It's very questionable moderating and I feel like if this continues only marketers that are friends with staff will be able to effectively advertise and sell without constant harassment from corrupt mods.

Here are just a FEW examples I've pulled up of direct rule violations (As per @Gen 's interpretation of false advertising rules)

If your thread is listed here please remember I bear no ill will towards you I just need evidence to support my theory that Gen is either A) Corrupt or B) incompetent ! I'm just using this to prove a point that certain people seem to have leeway from staff from reports and moderation. I have only included trustworthy people who I know would never scam, but should be aware of the rules by now.


Blatant market violations:

Reason: According to @Gen offsite feedback is not allowed and the 10,000 vouches should be a advertising rule violation! I am confident that Kaii has a ton of vouches on sythe, they are just listed on his selling threads, but apparently Gen doesn't count those and only counts the vouches on your vouch thread.

Reason: Order form violation, I got a PM from him nitpicking my threads. Pie's threads are constantly active and near the top of each sections. You can't claim to not have seen his threads. If anything since he gets more exposure more moderating is needed in order to protect Sythe members.

Reason: I know Ruben has 2k+ vouches but they are all listed on his threads like mine. But according to Gen this is a violation of policy. Also if you look at multiple posts on his thread people actually COMPLAIN about them not delivering for hours when the thread literally states "instant delivery" this is the very definition of false advertising.

Reason: again vouch violation. This thread hasn't been updated for months - yet continues to be able to falsely advertise price and vouches. I find it hard to believe Gen or any mod has never seen this thread.

Reason: Their price is 1.18. False advertisement. They are literally out of stock on their site yet they can continue to post without discretion. His advertising banner says they are ALWAYS in stock.

violation of the "as low as policy" per Admin Video you are only allowed to advertised the LISTED price on your site. Otherwise I could just write
"as low as $.25" then when a customer comes I'll be like oh that was for lalapocoin, if you want to use paypal that'll be $x.xx/M

Reason: My interpretation of the rule is that your title must match the price that is listed on your website. Everyone knows that bitcoin is significantly cheaper for buyers but the vast majority of customers do not have access to bitcoin. Thus, a customer will click on your ad and see "as low as 1.06/m" but will be disappointed when the most popular type of payment is significantly more expensive. Also, bitcoin is not even fiat- it's a concept online that is valued by its users - the reason why I bring this up is: Would it be fair if I advertised a ridiculous price but only accept a obscure currency that consumers have access to? And every site owner knows that getting the customer talking is the biggest challenge. Once you have them here it's easy to sell them SOMETHING.

As for the cause of this report, I feel like someone is either bribing Gen to target my threads in specific or just has some kind of friend that wants these threads closed.
There are magnitudes of violations on every single market section and I feel like he is going out of his way to only target mine.
As for providing the proof of these violations please remember I harbor no ill feelings towards any of the people I included in this report -
they are just examples of petty sementics of a newly enforced rule. The violation of the "out of stock" rule that resulted in the 24hr closure of my thread is extremely questionable
I'm not sure if it was Gen himself or someone submitted a report, but unless I see proof of it being a customer who suddenly inquired about the full stock of my thread I believe it was a competitor
or a corrupt mod as part of an evidence acquiring scheme. If this is a valid way to report someone then I can go to any gold site and ask for 100b 07 and if they say they are out of stock then shouldn't their threads be close as well?
Since no customer was actually mislead (person who asked for the 600m had no intent on purchasing but only inquired for nefarious purposes) no rule violation applies (false advertising rules were put in place for Sythe member protection, not competitor finding every petty detail to report a competitor)

I want Gen to explain his actions on selective enforcement.
I want rules to be applied to every marketer regardless of their experience or trust.

This is the only way we can make Sythe a fair trading space that can be enjoyed by all of its members.

 

@Gen is doing his job because someone reported your threads you aren't being targeted. I'll deal with this mess later today

 

Sure I can explain why your threads were pointed out for enforcement -

They were reported. Hence I looked into it. I am aware there are many other threads with offsite feedback, hence why i've been messaging them one at a time as they come along (and I'm sure some may even comment on this agreeing that I have messaged them)

No where on those rules include stock levels. It shouldn't because stock obviously fluctuates but unless there's a direct violation of the rule you shouldn't be locking threads. In any case I've deleted stock levels so this won't be a problem in the future.

 

I got a dm from Gen a few days ago and again today that off-site vouches/feedback count cannot be included in the title of sales threads at all - originally I had reworded it slightly. I don't think he's selectively targeting you - it may seem that way because he's persistent and has been on the ball.

 

Yes, but you got messaged. Your thread isn't locked. Why is he handing out warnings to everyone but me? That's why I feel like I'm being targeted.

False advertising covers more than just prices of the product itself. Anything you claim or advertise you are held accountable for. If a customer wants to come to you because you advertise having 600M available and you do not in fact have that amount available you are falsey advertising.

If you believe others are not following this policy feel free to report their posts accordingly.

 

Most of those threads are cited by you for vouch violations. I assume since they were warned first, the punishment isn't as strict for vouch violations as false advertising. You were REPORTED for false advertising, not for vouch violations. According to video himself, the punishment is exactly what Gen did. Since you already "deleted stock levels", you should've just taken the lock on the chin instead of trying to start drama. If you feel like others are also false advertising, go ahead and report them. I'm sure @Gen will deal with them the same way. But I'm just a lil noob, take my words with a grain of salt.

 

Alright here we go

1. Not considered false advertising. @Kaii please edit your title to reflect on-site vouches only, no offsite feedbacks.

2. I've removed the order form but they clearly have not been enforcing the use of it anyway since they have allowed many orders without it.

3. Looks like this user fixed it themselves.

4. If he actually has 2k vouches then his use of the word feedback is poor but not misleading. Also if he is not providing "instant delivery" we would need a proper report of that and not just someone's post complaining about delivery times.

5. @Julia like kaii your thread title can only make reference to sythe vouches. Again, we don't go out of our way to spot-check people's threads we take a look at them if reports are made. I believe Julia has well over 1,100 vouches including vouches outside her vouch thread so this is acceptable. The thread you linked is their gold selling thread so any gold buying price there is not needed. I would advise them to remove reference to it.

6. I'm not sure the issue here, the picture says they are low stock (not out of stock) but there is only an issue if they bumped their thread while not having stock, which I do not see proof of. It is expected that a gold business will have changing stock levels throughout the day but as long as they are only bumping when they have stock for sale then that is within the rules. They do not need to keep a constant update in their thread on stock levels.

8. Bitcoin is definitely a widely-used payment method in this market (as opposed to "Lalapocoin" for example) so this is not misleading advertising. They also spell out the rate for paypal in the thread.

As I mentioned in an earlier report, these kinds of reports do not belong in the scam report section. There is not a scam going on and this is just an extra headache for staff. Any future "false advertising" report made by anyone in this section will be deleted
