    Very epic
Marquardt will kill him. But akiyama wont get cut even though he will be 1-3 with a 3 fight lose streak, and arguably 0-4

I coulda sworn Norris got his ass kicked by Bruce Lee <3

Akiyama puts up good fights, thats all i can say. Also his "Sexyama" persona helps alot :D.

I think Akiyama could have won the decision, more takedowns etc. Too bad he got gassed lol with 21 seconds left.

And they had a video where they showed Bruce kicking Norris's ass. Its just a act, but it clearly might mean Norris believes Bruce was indeed the better fighter.

Cause come on, why would Norris's want a getting his ass kicked video up for no good reason.

Bruce laid out the background for MMA, Jeet-kun-Do is the Martial Arts of everything combined into one.
Would Bruce do good in MMA today? with the right training, i think he could have been amazing.

Bruce isnt around anymore RIP. Chuck says the always were even, and I believe that.
THere is no great Jeet-Kun-Do fighter though. He probably could have been great, but we could go on and on and on about fighters that could have been great if mma was around.

If BJ does show up it'll be a short night for Fitch. Assuming he comes out looking like he did in his last fight. (I thought I had added that into my last post, maybe I missed it).

I did see something during a press conference where they said GSP had to defend his title again before he could face Silva. I believe it was the 126 post-fight press conference.

And about the Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris thing, Chuck Norris was a great fighter. Bruce Lee wasn't just great, he was 30 years ahead of the martial arts curve. You can see him doing armbars and ankle locks, throwing the same type of punches and kicks that they do today. And not only that, but he was an amazing philosopher (he came to the US and majored in Philosophy). His mental game was so tight and he was such a focused and strong willed person, I doubt anyone could have broken him when it came to martial arts.

I agree with you regrettably, he doesn't seem to evolve as he should've. He demolishes one-dimensional fighters without breaking a sweat but doesn't seem to have also now with the new evolution of MMA. I fell that he is slowing down when the world of MMA is in full acceleration. He's definitely a revolutionary in pro-MMA and I love his humble attitude and his 'aura'.
You're officially awesome for knowing about Igor, most fight/MMA enthusiasts know nothing of this man.

I love watching MMA, it is literally the most exciting sport. I would love to see Bisping get a win, being the only really good English fighter!

When Dana says he has to defend title again, he means at 129 against Jake Shields.
I think Someoene could have beat Bruce Lee, but with training he could have been a legend.
Igor is the champion, look up some of his vids on youtube. He just never was mainstream in mma.
THere are other good english fighters, btw Dan Hardy has more ko power than bisping

If he had trained the way people do today theres no telling how well he could've done. But he would've been old by now, he was just so far ahead of his time it isn't fair. Bruce Lee is my idol.

And that never even crossed my mind. Thats gonna be one hell of a fight.

I dont think Marquardt will kill Akiyama. Marquardt is very overrated and his last performance with Okami was just awful.
If Marquardt was to kill Akiyama he would need to "Kill" Akiyama which would be extremely hard considering that
Akiyama has one of the best chins in MMA.

Marquardt isnt extremely overrated. His biggest problem is takedown defence. His two last losses are to Sonnen and Akiyama. Akiyama doe have a great chin though.

If we are talking people who could have done well in mma from the past id throw in benny the jet and cynthia rothrock (she would kill most guys).
I would like to see a young samo hung fight mma also, with the extra training of course.
And for the british, roy shaw, he was only a boxer but in his prime and with the right training i wouldnt want to be on the same continent as him.

There are loads others as well. People just didnt embrace fighting like they did today.

Marquadts fight VS OKami was more different than i thought. I thought Okami would be the one backing up and Marquardt would be the one stalking, considering He has the KO power not Okami.

We just have to see if Akiyama wants to stop his losing streak first.

Doubt it. I like Akiyama, but he needs to train with an american team like Gomi.
Marquardt was fed bad info by his corner. Jackson didnt tell him to go for broke or anything. He just told him it was fine and your good.

Well Marquardt isnt going to even try to clinch with Akiyama lol. Oh yeah and Greg Jackson trains Akiyama I just hope that Akiyama has trained on his conditioning.

Yeah. Im pretty sure DFW wants either him or Kid to win, and win now. He wants to get into Asia bigtime, and them two are the biggest fighters in the UFC from there
