Ever since Sylvia left the UFC hes being pushed around, i think 311 pounds is not healthy for him.

I mean he got knock-out cold by Ray Mercer lol.

 

I use that site too. They didnt have a stream wh en I looked though, so I used a different one (ozcast or something like that)
The mercer fight was a disgrace. THat loss just answered the question on rather he will get back in the ufc.
They need to give jason high another shot in the ufc. He lost to Charlie Brennamen, who is now 3-1 in the ufc I believe. He had another good performance, winning by tech submissions in under a minute.

 

I think its because of the weight gai. Sylvia did well fighintg at 265. however hes really horrible at superheavyweights.

I dont know whats going on with Avrolski, i think his chin is out like Chucks. They both could fight like they used to but cant take hits anymore

Avrolski was on a 6 fight win streak before eating Fedor's Haymaker.

 

Arlovski fucked himself. He was beating fedor then he tried that stupid flying knee.
Sylvia has always been overrated imo.
Sylvia doesnt liked getting punched that much. He lost to a guy 60 pounds less than him quick.
Randy doropped him with one punch.

IM sorry but Randy really inst that great of a striker. Hes good at grinding in the clinch, but striking hes mediocre.

I dont think the flying knee was stupid, Just Fedor's reaction was THAT good. He had Fedor in the corner, Fedor has nowhere to move, to dodge a flying knee its best to sidestep. Where can Fedor sidestep? Hes in a corner. Oh he can duck also, but flying knees usually hit when people try to duck. Look at Sherk And Huges, they both tried ducking and got rocked.
Arvloski underestimated Fedors ability and risked that move. I think Fedor could have won the fight later on anyways. Its not the first time hes been in trouble.

Sylvia wasnt good, but wasnt bad. hes like a Vera now. Go talent but cant use it. Just gotta brush up and drop his assback to 265.
And Brock has to do what Koscheck did, work on his striking 90% of the time. As Koscheck said, "I Already know how to wrestle i dont need to train it much at all" I mean Brocks strategy on Cain was to take Cain down. I almost flew out of my chair going "Your strategy inst to strike with Cain?!"

Look at Cains interview, what Cain said was he froze when he saw Brock coming at him. You know what that means? Cain was afraid of Brocks "suposely should have been improved
standup". Then Brock takes him down and Cain realized..."that idiot Brock didnt work on his standup!" And proceeded to pick Brock apart.

Brock has to fucking stop taking people down and switch around. Being one-sided is bullcrap. Ok your a wrestler...we get it, do something else? I think he needs to mimic Koscheck. If he doesnt work on his standup, he'll get destroyed by Cain again. And i dont think going in to take JDS down when JDS obviously knows Brocks gonna try and take him down is a good idea. Kids got Shakira Hips.

 

Only time flying knees are really good though are when you are rocked/going for a takedown.

I would never compare sylvia to vera. Vera has gotten relaxed and hasnt lived up to his potential.
Vera is hard to finish, while sylvia has standing, thats it. He doesnt have that good of a chin either, while Vera does. He has great muay thai.
ANd couture knocked sylvia down with the first punch of the night, then preceded to beat him for 5 rounds for the decision.

 

Penn Silva, Sanzhez throw flyig knees out there to catch the opponents off guard. Its a quick effective suprise move. You have to set it up. Avroslki set it up nice, i think if it were anyone else but Fedor, Avrolski would have rocked the guy. As the only thing that guy can do now is duck.

 

Those are anomalies though. I dont think it is a strike that is great. It can be, but im not a big fan of it.
One more week though, cant wait.

 

Its great, i mean UFC 126 is coming out, then a week later we'll see Antonio Silva annihilated. And on top of that 2 days till Free trade on RS

Its a strike thats used only by people who could move well. Remember Brock's flying knee he tried to use on Cain? Looked shitty lol

Cyborg-Diaz was a great fight, Cyborg made the mistake of taking him down.
Lawler dropped Jacare too
Gracie is a beast. His 4 fights have been against good competition.

 

I watch it and im currently taking boxing, what they do takes a lot of skill. if you see some of the combos people pull off and how fast they can move its incredible

 

All the fights were great. except i still think the experience level between the strikers are too wide a gap. you cant win being one-sided. Also Look at Diaz, Diaz is like taking it easy onCyborg. Diaz let Cyborg gas himself in the first round and then Diaz just comes in throwing those wussy punches and taunting Cyborg.

And Cyborgs a BJJ black and gets freaking Submitted in like 10 seconds? Damn Loks like Caesar gracie BJJS are freaking top notch'd. that makes me wonder about Shields tbh.


And Cyborg+Lawler just cant go to the ground with these guys.

And Roger is doing great. I would like to see him fight someone at the top like Henderson to see how he does fighting along with the sharks.

 

Cyborg has a bjj black belt unlike lawler, but he just got caught quick. Shields has good bjj, but its not world class quality like Gracie.
Gracie does need a step up, but strikeforces problem is they arent deep in the lhw division like the UFC. I would give him Babulu, or the Calvacante/Hendo loser.

 

Those two will be a good fight. What about King Mo, he could also be tried with Gracie.

The thing is Caesar Gracie black belts, are pretty rare, last time i heard there were only 5 and thats 20 years of teaching. And look at Nate Dia,, his jiu jutsu looks black belt class but hes stuck with a brown.

 

True. Diaz said after the fight, he doesnt like/think Woodley or Daley deserve the fights with them. I honestly think Woodley will beat Diaz, Daley on the other hand, not.
Caesar Gracie is a great jj coach, and his black belts are really good.
King Mo would lose to Gracie imo.
He would take it to the ground and gracie would triangle choke him.

 

If King MO does what he does best, which is keeping Gacies legs behind his arms and jsut sit there everytime he takes Gracie down. I think that'll work. hes a master at that.
And Caesars Blackbelts are superb.

 

Roger Gracie ground game > King Mo ground game. He will wreck him on the ground. Mo hasnt fought a bjj guy close to his league.
