Well, this will definitely destroy the cracker/third age range and mage economy. From what I read in the thread, the hackers are selling crackers at 4.9b, which is half of the street price. Unless of course jagex plays GOD and intervenes and refunds the guy, but that only happens if you have jagex friends, and from what I read, he does not. So therefore, I guess gf economy?

 

I'm assuming this Milky person has already RWT'd 100's of billions in the past? Judging by his/her responses, he/she doesn't seem to distraught or even care that much. Is it because he/she has already made $50,000+ of RS?

 

I think he's entirely the opposite; one of those people that should have sold years ago but has amassed enough that he can't sell it (and now even more so...)

 

Apparently this is a hoax, All orchestrated by him to try and crash the cracker market so he can purchase more.

But who really knows, we'll see soon enough i guess.

 

Sounds like a hoax to me - I don't care if you're "pretty chill and not bragging about wealth or anything," losing 300b+ would still make you flip shit. And he never personally acknowledged any of the hoax accusations at all.

Actual sale value, 300b would probably be worth around $50,000, maybe? I'm quoting such a low price because I think a gold seller would have a really tough time avoiding a ban on that, and they wouldn't want to risk such a huge investment.

At current prices (for gold sellers), 300b would be around $105,000.

 

Hes sold some gold, but not that much from what I heard. And I think he actually did get hacked.

 

It could be that he sold his 300b. Regretting his decision, he decided to fake his own hacking using a vpn & all the other necessaries, so that Jagex will see it is a different ip used & all that, and trace all the last trades. Find it belonging to gold sellers, wipe the seller out & give him back his gp. He is at least $50k richer easy, plus it gives him big fame & attention.

 

Like fcplox said, I'm pretty sure he got hacked. He didn't sell much at all.

I've known milkey for over a year now he has rwt'ed before lol, no idea if its a lot but if I had to guess $10,000>. From what I know now I think he just doesen't care about the money anymore.

No gold reseller is going to buy all 300b at once, they just buy what they need unless your giving them a huge flip then they will probably buy 10-20b (depending on bans latley.)

 

Poor guy. I got bored after my 60B peak back in 2011. I don't understand why players in general would even bother to get that much, regardless of the time spent getting it. Should have sold most of it ages ago. Having large amounts in order to cover big stakes is one thing but 300B is -.-

 

Yep, there's really no good reason to hold anywhere near 300b.
