MicroSD card reformatting

Hey, i just got a new Blackberry Pearl 8100 and i inserted my MicroSD card and it said it needed to be formatted. So i put it in my computer and i try to format it but it says that "Windows was unable to complete the format" and it doesn't get the capacity right either. its 4GB but it says 30.6MB. Does anyone know what i can do? i really need my microsd card.

Well i take the card out of my blackberry and put it in my microsd to sd addapter and put it in my computer, so i'm not even trying to do it on the blackberry.

If you need to format your MicroSD card in an 8100, there are two options.
The first, and recommended, is to have your device format the card. This can be done by doing the following:

Options/Advanced Options/Media Card-Then click the Menu button, scroll to format card and click ok.

The second option is mainly why I am writing this. If you use your computer to format the card, then try and add information to the card, you will see that it does not appear when you go to click on the media card memory at all.

To fix this, simply format the media card on your device, then re-try.

The Blackberry Folder and Video/Music/Ringtones/Pictures subfolders will then reappear.
