MicroSD card reformatting

Hey, i just got a new Blackberry Pearl 8100 and i inserted my MicroSD card and it said it needed to be formatted. So i put it in my computer and i try to format it but it says that "Windows was unable to complete the format" and it doesn't get the capacity right either. its 4GB but it says 30.6MB. Does anyone know what i can do? i really need my microsd card.

 

Try updating device drivers for your card reader or look up to see if there's some kind of special way you need to use to format a blackberry.

 

Well i take the card out of my blackberry and put it in my microsd to sd addapter and put it in my computer, so i'm not even trying to do it on the blackberry.
