Membership Price Doubled

I was looking at how much membership costs for 1 month, it's doubled since I last got one.

 

Prices vary from 7m-15m, its really weird

Prices fluctuate man, shit happens.

 

Prices vary, especially by type/who you're purchasing off.


More trusted users sell gamecards(which can't be "charged back" for anywhere up to 15M for 1 month.


However people sell SMS upgrades for like 6m, but they're newcommers with 2 posts and those upgrades can be charged back.

 

I remember when you could buy a month for 700k.
The economy is really funny these days..

OT: From an update a couple months ago, Jagex changed the membership prices by raising it for players who are newly purchasing memberships.

However the original price remains the same for existing members.

Weird, I know.

 

Just another one of the many money-grab tactics rolled out by Jagex recently.

 

As zerker stated, it's one of Jagex's schemes to make money off.

So you're only choice would be "Be a member and pay every month, whether you play or not" or "Take a break, come back and pay almost x2 what you used to".

Most people would go with the first option, and it would get them a steady user base paying every month at least. And if they don't, they eventually will, and Jagex profits more.

This happened after the bot nuke. Tens of thousands of botting accounts are now idle or banned. And that is costing Jagex a fortune. I'm not sure why they did it, if they would end up losing a lot of money.

No suprise they're upping the prices, they care more about money more than anything now.
