What I think he said, (I may be wrong) is that you (Finn) were implying that though there is nothing objectively vulgar about marrying your cousins, there is objective vulgarity in the world. He doesn't agree with that.

Depends how close in the family like if they are hardly related IE 3rd cousin 4th cousin.. yea your related some what.. but not by Blood by any means..

I think that close relatives shouldn't marry... it really is up to the people getting married.

I know I definetly wouldn't want to marry anyone related to me, it would feel weird.

 

People having the option to marry their own family members is much less important, I'd like to think, than road systems.

Naturally, animals, such as humans, and Bonobos, are attracted to each other, no matter of age/sex/family. Unless one would like to argue that what is natural is wrong, it would be irrational to conclude that it 'IS' wrong.

As humans, we are taught to forget that we are animals. However, we 'are' animals. Not 'all' animals have a sense of what is right and wrong, but some do.

Society throughout time has applied it's names, whether condescending or not, to different concepts and events. However, whether one decides to label something right or wrong doesn't mean that it IS right or wrong.

No animal has a real sense of right and wrong. If you're talking about subjective right and wrong, then perhaps, but objective right and wrong (i.e. the clear line of morality) animals lack. As well, in mere classification , in terms such as kingdom/class/phylum or whatnot we are animals; however, at a deeper level we are different. We're talking about biology and the philosophy of biology/science.

 

I personally think it's wrong. Why? You're marrying someone related to you in blood, from either your mother or your father side of the family.

 

I wouldnt encourage it, and things would be akward around them, but who am I to judge? I wouldnt like being judged so why judge others? marriage is 2 partners who are in love and happy with each other; regardless of their race, religion, relation ect.
