Need more money? It's your job. Man up.

Sadly, the true meaning of gender equality is based around us manning up, right?
Actually, it's wrong. I've had my full share of heartbreak - losing my three children to my cheating ex-wife being one of them.

If you are;
- a forced weekend dad

- previously suffered or still suffering with addiction of any kind

We all suffer, I also run a Facebook group with over 10k followers for fathers rights in the UK.

I was on the verge of taking my life this time last year, I won't lie, it still enters my head from time to time but I found who I consider to be my closest friend (he lives in Australia, the other side of the world) on a Facebook page. I speak to him every day, he helps me see what I still have and I want to give you the same.

Never suffer alone.

Part of mental illness stigma is that people see this as not a true illness when it is. The first thing is admitting and then getting help. I'm glad you're here and made a thread to talk about what you went through the past year. Taking your life is never an easy decision and it shouldn't come to that. There is going to be someone out there in this world that will care for you. Never give up, you have to decide for yourself though. It really comes with, what really is it that you want in your life? You're the only one who can answer that question.
