Wow, so now people get arrested for others stupidity...

 

If you're stupid enough to practically give away your username and password then you deserve to get your account stolen...

 

It's as simple as Jagex unbanning or banning the dude's ip yet they have to get him arrested...

Very stupid. I think the people that gave away their info to a phishing site.

 

If your sad enough to waste your time hacking/stealing peoples accounts then you should be arrested.

 

23 years old and he's still playing this game? That's pretty sad. Especially sad that he put up all the effort required to phish accounts.. honestly lol

IF this is even true then the government is so corrupt there. Its a virtual game and virtual item. How can someone get arrested for stealing a virtual item.

If you think its a good thing for this person to get arrested then you want no rights. Its not illegal to steal a runescape account and should never be!

The only way this person should be arrested for is fraud of a real item.

Its funny how Runescape admits that so many people waste their social and overall lives playing this game. Its really too bad that this game is so peoples life.

They must have been like 10 years old to get tricked into entering their details, so their accounts probably weren't all that great anyways.

I really do not care, if your a big enough nerd to steal Digital/Picture goods you need to go to jail for some help or something.

 

Trying to get other people's passwords is not illegal by itself, what is illegal is phishing, or making an exact same copy of a website that has any type of login info in it. And Jagex have nothing to do with this except call the police, the police must have simply contacted and got his information from the webhost of the illegal site.

So what was Illegal was the making of the exact same site in looks as runescape.com and not the getting the passwords
