Not to be an ass but this sounds like what 99 percent of other merch clans do, invest on an item and sell when it peaks.

It's not the same as a clan merchant... He knows of an update that will affect an item, that although right now is under 1k gp, should rise EXPONENTIALLY and then be able to be sold back to players or NPC's. I would explain more, yet like D00m, I can't be bothered. It's time fo' bed.

 

Lol this would be similar to monopolization... And if anyone has ever learned about Black Tuesday and the market crash of 1929; monoplization was a HUGE reason to why the country sat around impovershed.

Stocks that people bought were almost always speculated to be way higher in value than they actually were (which is what you're proposing to make happen). So when people sold them they found out that they weren't as rich as they thought, ultimately making the entire US population broke.

It obviously won't have exactly the same effects since banks can't go empty in RuneScape. It WILL make a few rich (if they know what they're doing).

To my knowledge, there is no *list*, people began by simply leaving a post saying that they are interested. I have a feeling that D00M will just go through the thread and PM people when he has announced the item. Leaving your name and amount of cash your willing to invest is probably sufficient.
