Hey. I would like to get started with LoL as I see the community for this is growing and I would like to contribute to that.

Firstly;

Is the game browser based or do I have to download a client? and also is it Full screen or not?

And any links to some general guides about it?

It is full screen but you can play on windowed mode as well.

I am not sure if you don't know what the game is. You might want to do some research first, but its consider a MOBA game.

Client-based has clearly been answered It's also fullscreen.

I'd suggest trying it out and derping around through a bot game or two on your own, then just heading over to YouTube and checking up on some basic guides.

To get started, try playing a few different champions (characters) in bot games just to get the controls down. Try to find a champion you like and stick with it for a while. Don't get too attached as the free champions change week by week. Have fun!

Buy yi or tryn, right click all day to win. Easy mode champs would do you well until you get a better understanding of the game. I loved to watch streams when I got started, good understanding of the champ mechanics and what not,
