    L E G A C Y

    So I did an ip audit on L E G A C Y and noticed it matched someone who's been buying sythe profiles for quite some time on bugabuse.

    I've since been banned from bugabuse, but I googled "buying sythe accounts jarvispk" and this is the link I received.
    https://www.bugabuse.net/74-services-other/50527-buying-sythe-accounts.html

    http://www.sythe.org/members/247144-l-e-g-a-c-y.html

    L E G A C Y has an ip match with Jarvispk, but he claimed he was hacked at a certain date.

    I believe that L E G A C Y sold his sythe profile to JarvisPK, and later claimed it was hacked so he could recover it. If the ip was logged into the profile at the point in time which L E G A C Y was hacked, he should be banned for selling his profile.

    http://www.sythe.org/dispute-forum-archive/1640225-recovery-l-e-g-c-y.html

    Edit: The more I look into it, the more evident it appears that this profile was sold. He talks here;
    http://www.sythe.org/dispute-forum-archive/1640225-recovery-l-e-g-c-y.html

    About how he received a vouch when he was hacked. Why would a hacker legitimately trade on a hacked profile? Obviously he's going to scam as much as possible to make maximum profit rather than making the user he's hacked look more legitimate. His vouches are here;
    http://www.sythe.org/vouches-forum/806423-l-e-g-c-ys-vouches-4.html

    And another thing you can notice is that the hacker actually made a skype similar to that of Legacy's, and didn't have access to his skype.
    Compare;
    http://www.sythe.org/runescape-private-server-markets/1641261-selling-ssgp.html
    to
    http://www.sythe.org/runescape-priv...selling-donator-soulsplit-account-w-1-3b.html

    And you'll see the skypes are slightly different.

    Yousuck, it would help with these reports if you included photos of the links you're posting. We can't just assume the link says what we/you believe it says. Get us photos or there's legitimately nothing we can do.

    Unfortunately i'm still not able to take screenshots, but previously i'd posted reports including links to bugabuse which had been done so I assumed this wouldn't be an issue.. :/....

    No, there was a thread posted by "JarvisPK" on Bugabuse (same name on BA as on here) where he was buying sythe accounts and several people claimed to have sold him sythe accounts. I've been banned from BA for a few weeks due to reporting users from there, and as a result wasn't able to locate the specific thread. Therefore I figured if I googled the main keywords I may be able to locate the thread, so when it came up with only one link that was what I provided.

    I do have a link to his BA profile where hopefully his posted topics can be seen however.

    Sorry for the late response. I haven't had the time to deal with such a lengthy case for a while.

    We've determined for sure that JarvisPK had access to Legacy's account from 10-7-13 to 10-26-13. I've looked at everything thoroughly and can tell you for sure that the account that was bought by JarvisPK on 9/29/13 was not L E G A C Y.

    This actually happens more often than you'd think, and this doesn't prove that Legacy sold his sythe.org account. In fact, Jarvis had bought a sythe.org account and scammed with it.

    Seems irrelevant to me. Why do you think this proves that Legacy sold his sythe.org account?

    If he was hacked, it's highly unlikely that it would just happen to be by someone known for buying sythe profiles. Unless IP addresses prior to hack (as in the last login before the ipmatch with JarvisPK) could prove he was hacked, it seems he undoubtedly sold his profile for personal profit and claimed "hack" in order to recover it.

    The main reasons I have my doubts he was hacked/believe the profile was sold:
    -Rather than scamming, the user was legitimate and even gained vouches for the original owner of the profile. Obviously someone isn't going to waste money buying sythe profiles (i.e. Jarvispk) if he plans on scamming and getting them banned, seeing as the likelihood that he would profit (especially since a profile such as L E G A C Y with donator/a decent postcount would probably cost him a fair amount, meaning he would have to scam a pretty fair amount to break even/profit, which i'd assume is more challenging then scamming any amount possible as hackers usually do).
    -If a person is going to hack a profile they're clearly aware that at any time it may be banned for security reasons or recovered, but if they've purchased it obviously they plan on keeping it, as the seller risking his profile and also scamming if he chargebacks the money. You can tell Jarvispk clearly had intentions of keeping the sythe profile, to the extent that he was using it to partake in legitimate trades, rather than scamming, and gain vouches on that (if you're hacking someone i'm pretty sure your intention wouldn't be to gain them vouches, but if you've purchased a profile and it's now "yours" then obviously you want to gain trust), as well as the fact that he made an entirely new skype to resemble the skype of the original owner (Jarvis' copycat skype being legacysythe, while real L E G A C Y's was legacy.sythe).
    -Looking through the history of profiles being hacked, 99% of the time, either;
    A. Only the user's skype is hacked, examples being;
    SanctumX
    R2pleasant
    Arcus Isidar
    ^All being in the past month
    or B. Both the skype and profile are hacked, recent examples being:
    http://www.sythe.org/members/196886-holy-cherrys.html
    http://www.sythe.org/members/77244-cymru.html
    http://www.sythe.org/members/218897--we-.html
    http://www.sythe.org/members/76480-crudesapphire.html

    And clearly the "hacker" (aka the buyer, being Jarvispk) didn't have access to his skype as he used a separate one, and L E G A C Y (original/seller) never once claimed that his skype was hacked.

    Hackers (and account buyers) often trade legitimately for a while to stay under the radar and then move on to scam large amounts. It's not as uncommon as you think.

    AFAIK, JarvisPK isn't related to any of those accounts.

    I'm not convinced that Legacy sold his sythe.org account right now, but this report is definitely open to more opinions from the staff.

    I just feel it's far too coincidental that the profile 'happened' to be in the hands of someone known for buying profiles when it was "hacked". :l

    We don't ban on assumptions, we need rock solid proof. That said, I don't believe this report constitutes a ban.
