Just got a new car

Everyone seriously needs to stop being so rude, I read what he said but the way I put it may of been misread, I know of NEW cards being $10k and under I was stating $16k is a hefty price.

 

Congratulations Mike. If you want a car that lasts long i've seen toyotas and hondas still on the road from like '96.

 

Meh it's the price I'm willing to pay for it. To get points clear: it's not my first car, it's my first brand new car. I've owned a Ford Mustang, Dodge Stratus, Chevy Impala, Eagle Vision, and a Dodge Caravan. I still own the Eagle Vision and Chevy Impala currently, trying to tell them off now.

As for the looks, I'm still quite happy with it.

Just found out from their Facebook page that the dealership gives out a $250 gas card for every car purchased this week. There's another nice discount that hopefully I can pick up tomorrow.

Personally I don't really like Kia, i mean i've driven my sisters but it just wasn't that nice to me. But then again it's your car and if you like it then by all means , that one actually looks pretty good to me..better than my 94 camaro atleast haha.

 

You've got a bright future, already a car owner before most people even know the value of hard work and having a job (you'd be surprised at how lazy some people are..or maybe not given our current economic problems).

Thanks man. I've been saving up for a while, from working my day job to doing website design/development in my free time. Although I'm going to be expanding my website design/development company soon so that I don't need to work a day job (I already make enough off my own company to not have to work anywhere else, I only work it for security in case I don't get customers for whatever reason).

Also to address a point, anyone who's saying Kia Rio's are bad should probably take a look at one. The Kia Rio after the 2012 model got a major overhaul. If you still think it's bad after that, then that's fine I guess as we all have our own opinions, but if you're basing it off earlier models then you're very mistaken.

 

They offer a 7 year warranty which smashes ALL other manufacturers here in the UK, so clearly they have a lot of faith in their cars.

OT; Nice buy I've got one of these, mines a Rio 3 hatch and it's pretty good on fuel & my insurance is £450 a year which is really good as most young peoples insurance is in the thounsands, also I've had one problem with mine with the dashboard rattling however I took it back to the garage and it was sorted within a day & I've not heard the noise again.

 

Mine's only a 5 year warranty, but still pretty good.

 

I'm not sure where all the negativity is coming from. I for one think it looks just fine. Congratulations on your first new car

 

Still, thats a pretty good warranty period considering people are calling them unreliable, etc.

Nice man for the price you're getting a really nice car, I dropped like $25k on my car and it was 4 years used :/ the 5 years warranty is a good deal to get with your car. Also the kia rio looks much better than it does in those pictures.

Out of curiosity what colour did you get? Black would look really good on the car if you got that.

 

cool car, kia has definitely stepped up their aesthetic approach to designing their vehicles.

 

I got the silver one. My choices at the dealership were blue, white, and silver, they didn't have any blacks available for that offer. I would have loved a black, but silver is my next best choice.

 

I forgot most of sythe are amerifags. In england we drive on the other side of the road.
