Just bought an account on the 17th

When is it "safe" to start building an inventory? I understand that you can be recovered no matter the situation. But like I can't wait forever right? Just what is a good time frame to stop worrying and start playing.

 

My suggestion to you is make it as difficult as possible to break into your new account. Although never 100% safe because an owner can always attempt a recovery a good defense has proved well in the past.

Some things you can do:

-Make sure their account isn’t linked to a google email (link yours if you have it)

-Set a bank pin in game to protect your inventory & bank high valued items before logging off for the day.

-Set your own email on the account.

-Set up the authenticator on the account linked to your phone.

-Buy memberships via CC or PayPal to start showing a paper trail.

 

Just going to be the devils advocate but if you bought an acc from someone you don’t trust, it seems like a bad idea to ever put wealth on the acc or invest time into training it. It can always be recovered, in 1 year, 5 years or whatever. Always sucks to see your time go to waste

 

Hi, I noticed you bought an account off this guy. Join date may 2020, 25 posts and 1 vouch off a guy who's now banned. I'm afraid you will lose access to that account within a matter of days. Do not put any GP or wealth on this account under any circumstances. Sorry for your loss. If you paid with paypal i'd suggest getting or requesting a refund before he's banned.

In the future, buy from someone more reputable and save your money. The accounts may be a little more expensive but there's usually some sort of guarantee if recovered/stolen.

 

I agree with @GTX 970 that you should not put wealth on this account, it does seem extremely high risk.

That said, @GTX 970 was incorrect when telling you to file a PayPal claim. Until the seller actually recovers the account on you, if you refund your payment to him, you would be the one scamming. So I would likely just write the account off as a loss if I'm honest, or use it for like botting some rsgp or as an afk alt or something like that.

 

I personally never transfer over valuables to an account that I have purchased. If I bought the account because I wanted to actively play on it I will generate wealth by playing it. If I end up loosing the account then at least I have only lost whatever I generated on the account rather than a bunch of extra valuables.

 

Yes, please do not file a PayPal claim or any form of chargeback until the account is recovered by the OO.

 

When i stated request refund i meant from the original seller while he's still active and not banned as in getting a refund and returning the account, then buying elsewhere. But yeah good points overall.
