Jagex wasn't lying!

Ok this debate has gone from JaGex currently using this website BotScout to get information to ban our accounts, to JaGex possible creating a new program in which logs the information of flagged accounts to use for future use?

This is pointless.

JaGex doesn't use this website to get information to ban our accounts now, and they won't use it to get information to ban our accounts in the future.

With that said debating this any farther is pointless.

 

here's what Jagex will do
If they get one of your emails, that's your IP on it, what other emails are being used by your IP? Here's one email on that IP it's Registered on Sythe.org his username is Cosrob, lets see what he's doing on here... Oh he's selling gold? Ban his account

 

I stated this before but they can read your title of each email which most bots when you buy one say "thank you for purchasing ?? bot" Which would be enough reason to start closely looking into your accounts for botting.

All they would then have to do is have a Jmod go talk to you when you were on and they thought you were on and if you don't responed and still do normal botting functions they can ban you because you can't block a mods convo and it is their right to ban you for not responeding.

The program this site runs would be able to do this I've already answered this question as to how they can find you.

I understand this site is not used for runescape bots as I once again have already stated several times I am saying it very easily could be used for this and jagex has the fundings to have a site or themselves make a program like this to do the same thing just for their own use.

You're not a spam bot therefore it will not work on you obviously once again I'm not saying that this site is used for rs bot catching I never have. What I am saying they can use a program like this to do such a thing.

Or if you wanted to put words in my mouth we can go with the thought that maybe jagex has put a privacy block on the site so that it would look inconspicuous if anyone had ever thought of this like Q has. but as I said that part is fabricated with no proof behind it

also your ip changes if your time has expired with your webhost which happens anywhere from 1-48 hours of no use of said connection depending on the host. and if you still use or did use dial-up it changes everytime you reconnect.

 

UGH please just drop it and know that Jagex has no means or authority to know what email addresses are registered to an IP address. THE END please

Actually they cannot use a program to do such a thing. As I've said so many times, Jagex has no means or authority to retrieve the emails registered to IP addresses or to forums like sythe..

 

And I completely sure they can't. That would be illegal and they would have many hefty lawsuits on their hands.

 

The amount of stupid in this thread by some users is amazing.

1) There is no way that website can get our IP address / email if we visit or register on a (botting) website. If they did this would most likely be highly illegal under the data protection act as we would have to agree to our details being passed on to a 3rd party.

2) How on earth do you think they have the ability to link your IP to all your emails? I'm astounded you think this would be possible.

3) Stop saying mysql as if you know what you're on about. It's simply a database and nothing more.

4) As it's been said time and time again, this is to stop spammers from posting adverts and other worthless shit on forums. You're an idiot if you think otherwise.

This means all free users they can change their tos as long as applicable by law as much as they want and nothing you can do where as for members they will have up to a month before this applies for them.

As for the emails they already have a good majority of the rs botters emails. and have everybodies ip that has ever played. All they have to do is write up the legal documentations to do so which ask any lawyer and I bet they will find a loophole that can allow them to do so at least for a portion of time.

I am a medical marijuana caregiver as well as a previous scripter\coder trust me I know quite a bit how laws can be manipulated.

Their are plenty of programs that allow you to do this without a password they have been around for as long as letterbombs have. I however don't know how they work as I have never been interested in such things. I would suggest googling it or asking someone more astute to hacking emails etc. which is the only thing that would stop them from doing that until they can get a lawyer to come up with something.

As I quoted from jagex themselves they can change their tos at anytime as long as it applies to the laws which they could easily find a loophole if only for a short time. we have been doing this with private servers for years so why can't they do it to us? as for the look up thing they obviously can because this site does just that bot or not someone created the account and they can look up info on it. nuff said on that subject.

to your 2nd question\statment, all they need is 1 which they already have due to you playing rs. They can then use this program which to my knowledge bounces around forums etc. and collects the info from other sites. nuff said on this topic.

This site catches spammers etc. unless you have posted 100's if not 1000's of times it will obviously not catch you. Because this particular site is used for SPAMMERS ON FORUMS which I am not disputing if you weren't illiterate you may have understood that already. I am saying they can use the same technology to incorporate it into catching bots.

all jagex would have to do is get their lawyers to look into a loop hole or another law which contradicts the ones that prevent this. such as for example the copywrite laws with private servers because over 50% of the private server was theirs they could shut down many. so they then fought this by saying it was simply for educational purposes. they could use the same law they used against private servers against botting forums. due to reflection etc. or something along those lines [ not saying that in particular just a example I know nothing of reflection I haven't written code for rs since rs2 came along.

I didn't pass the law but I have had to fight michigan government multiple times in court doing so. I have had to learn and damn near memorize every law for growing\using\distributing. and we have had to manipulate many laws just to keep our rights enforced due to the higher ups in michigan.


Anyways I'm tired of arguing with you people after all you can't fix stupid so no point in trying. But I do love how none of you know nothing about laws, programming but like to think you do it is cute.

Also, This thread has nothing to do with the creation of some new program in which JaGex can use to get information to catch bots.

The topic has been taken so far off topic that it's ridiculous.

In the OP the user said you could use the website BotScout.com to get information to ban botters. That has been proven wrong, so end of thread. This isn't a place to ramble on about some imaginary program that Jagex may (probably won't) make in the future, and that's exactly what your doing.
