Jagex selling gold?

Did this ever come to mind to you? What if Jagex, secretly sold gold, i assume they can get unlimited gold, and if they did(or maybe they are selling), then the profits would be really crazy. What do you think would happen if they started selling gold? Discuss...

 

I doubt it, they make tons of money as is, with all the advertisement profit and membership. The amount of time spent selling gold and the profit made from doing so is negligible. However, I wouldn't be shocked if they did (greedy bastards).

 

That would be a little odd.

Seeing as they made all these updates to prevent that from happening. Why would they make it hard for themselves?

 

Its a awsome idea, lots of other mmos sell their own stuff.
Jagex would prolly never do it, because they were soo crazy about rwt before.

 

They really should though if they want to take down gold farming and real world trading. Maybe they want to keep sythe alive in some weird way

 

Its possible they made all these ways to prevent RWT so that they are the only ones left in the market.

That would be pretty interesting. They would be able to generate money within seconds and sell it off for some extra money. This of course would all be done in the dark.

 

Well, they obviously arent telling us they are selling gold...
How could they profit if nobody is in contact with Jagex?
Im certain that if Jagex was selling gold it would have leaked already

 

I think cfrey makes a great point, the only way to stop rwt is by selling gold themselves. Also, taking out free trade makes sense- we assume that Jagex has special ability(duh,makers of the game) to get gold on the acc within seconds, so they can still get instantly, while others( bh,dstone) can't.

They would never do it, I doubt that it would help them make a lot more money either.

 

Andrew would never allow it... Back in the days when people would talk to him, they complained about anti-bot things he put in... He is so against "cheating", that it just won't happen if he has any say at all...

This would be totally catastrophic. They'd probably sell their gold cheaper than anyone else so as to increase profit. If they did this, the whole community would be destroyed. There'd be massive inflation, which would be just 1 point.
