This is a post I read on the forums...

Well, good day to you fellow citizens of Gleinor. It seems in our past, the most notorious individuals; the most relatively disliked (fairly or not) were the scammers and lurers - in short, the breakers of the second rule of conduct for this site.
Yet, there exists a single entity that has broken both the word and principles of this rule. If for some reason you didn't read my title; quite simple, Jagex itself! Now, how you may ask. They to my knowledge haven't made anyone to cross the wilderness ditch (which is in effect pointless now seeing as PvP no longer exists aside from two isolated minigames within), or switched items in a trade. No, they've done something far more nefarious - and in my mind, the most important part of rule two.
To quote Jagex istelf on the rule two article: "It is not our intention to set player-limits on what they trade." Hmm, is that so? I'd say the recent updates to the game have done just that. I'd say that Jagex has harmed the game far more than any lurer or scammer of the past, and are by far the most nefarious rulebreakers of the game.
To further quote them, "You must not scam or deceive [...] players. Lying to [...] players for your own personal gain is NOT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE GAME and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED."
Interesting choice of words indeed, Jagex.
