Jagex Banning Bots ----must Read-----!

You are inaccurate, one of my accounts with 85 mining got rollbacked 7 levels, the only thing I did was just LRC mine with Kminer...

There's a system update going on now, I wonder if this has anything to do with the actions being taken against botters :\

 

Honestly, Wouldn't it bring the fun back to runescape if we had no bots? Not as many SW Prods, Pkers, stakers that just bot their stats then play and reep the benefits. Also, more training areas. The price of gold would rise back up. The economy would finally be fixed since no bots selling stuff for dirt cheap. I honestly hope they do get this fixed.

 

If this was true wouldn't 1/3 of the idung users be flaming Kikos forums on RSbuddy? If 10000 were banned of 30000 users that would be well known on the forums.

 

I hope they ban massive gold farms, we need gold prices to grow -.-'

 

banning bot is not a good idea for them tbh.. there are more p2p bot accounts than p2p legit players.. so banning em all would basicly kill them economicly

 

bro, idung PRO is not the only dung bot and tbh, before idung pro user got banned im pretty sure users of failed dung bots would get banned before them, ProDung has 130k users , arte dungeon has 85k, and rsbots must have a few aha

Well what I meant was the fact that if Idung users were banned it would have been a havoc already on Kikos forums, which hasnt happened. Thats why I dont think we should be to worried about Idung users yet.

 

Like others said, this is just propaganda to make legit players happy.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the required e-mail verification for new accounts; that just makes it more likely for accounts to be recovered when they are sold.

 

That is a good fantasy, but not what reality would reveal if bots were gone.
What would actually happen is that gold would stay the same it is, and the price of items like runes (bloods for example) would shoot so high that no one except the massively rich people would be able to afford them. Bots are what keep prices low and affordable.

An aside: Why is RuneScape the #1 free to play mmorpg?
Simple, because of the botters.

What Jagex does want to happen though, is for people to stop selling their accounts.
Jagex knows that it is a huge scam to buy an account from anyone unless you really trust that single person.

I myself paid $160 on an account from a site. Then, after I had gotten 99 str, 99 agility, done a TON of quest, and got about 80m on the account, the ORIGINAL owner of the account decided one day that he wanted to start playing again.
All accounts CAN be RECOVERED even if the registered email and recovery questions are changed IF the recoverer uses the same computer that the account was created on.

Therefore, there went $160... the original owner won, the site won, I lost. Simple as that.

 

They will mainly be banning f2p bots.

 

Exactly. They don't mind if you bot, as long as you pay them money.

 

If this is true I'm going to be mad...since I was just considering botting 99def and dung on my main -_-
