Sythe.org has no Terms of Service. The only thing even close to that is the Sythe.org Forum Rules when you first register, which is just the default vBulletin rules. There is absolutely nothing stopping Jagex from viewing Sythe.org, even if it was against our rules, that wouldn't actually stop them from doing anything.

    1. Like said above, there is nothing stopping Jagex from viewing Sythe.org.

    2. Even if there was, Jagex is not prosecuting anyone. They can ban anyone, for any reason, or no reason at all. Their evidence doesn't even have to exist, and if it does, they can get it however they please, as long as it doesn't break any real world laws.

Once again, Jagex has just as much right to view this forum as you. People really need to get informed. There is no Sythe.org Terms of Service, and absolutely nothing stopping any Jagex employee from viewing this forum. Even if it was included in the rules or Terms of Service, that would mean absolutely nothing.

Once again, there is no Terms of Service. Even if there was, it would not make Jagex viewing this site illegal in any way.

    Jagex ARE on sythe.

Jagex has been monitoring Sythe and other black market sites for years. This could be the start of a new strategy being imposed to stop RWT.

But if what he's saying is correct, they aren't trespassing because there is no terms of service.

There are rules set by the administration. Sythe.org is a property to the administration. Being on private property uninvited is trespassing. Trespassing is illegal.

You'll never be able to prosecute someone being on a website for trespassing. And even if it was against Sythe's terms not allowing Jagex to be on the site -- that doesn't make it illegal. It means they're breaking the rules, and can get banned. And that's about it.

How is it any different for botting? That's clearly against Jagex rules -- and if we're caught, we're banned. Jagex can't come sue us for it.

I'm sorry, but the only response to that is LOL, however, I will go on to say the following:

    1. There are no Terms of Service for using Sythe.org.

    2. There are no rules regarding whether a Jagex employee can visit this site or not.

    3. Even if the above two statements were false, there is nothing Sythe.org could do legally against Jagex or any of its employees for visiting this site.

    4. I suggest you do some research on the terms private property and trespassing in regards to a website. The fact that you are even attempting to bring that up as a valid point is laughable at best. I suggest you not comment on subjects of which you have no knowledge.

Dynamic IP doesn't mean anything, to be honest. Your geographical data doesn't change, and I'm 99% sure that if Jagex wanted to IP ban, they will do a ban of all IPs from your router, not just the one particular offending IP.

JaGex can access Sythe at anytime and it would not be considered trespassing. You cant simply say well I dont want them accessing my website but anyone else with a computer can? Would never hold up in court, especially when there is no terms of agreement and that even unregisterd users can see a large portion of the site. JaGex has a right just like anyone else here to come on and see what this website is all about. I have never heard of someone being accused in a court of law as "trespassing" on a website.

The fact of the matter is JaGex has been monitoring this website for years. If there was any legal action to be taken it would have been done by now, people just need to be extra careful about how they go about their blackmarket business. JaGex showed their hand, this could be the beginning of a new wave of actions intended at stopping RWT, what better way to stop it then to go after the individual sources.
