Is this a good gaming computer?

Hello everyone, I'm not the biggest know it all about computer by any means, but I do know some. I was wondering if a computer with these specs would be a good gaming desktop. I know it is not the best, but I want to know if it's worth getting or if I should save up more and get a better one in the future.

And I was also wondering if there's a way to uninstall windows 8 and get windows 7, because I have used both and I prefer windows 7 much more.
Please everyone give me opinions about this desktop as it would help a lot

No, it's not great. I'd try to get something with a R9 270 or GTX 760 and up.

You can uninstall Windows 8 and get Windows 7 but it would cost you $100 for a Windows 7 license

 

weakest link is your GPU. I'd try to buy it without the GPU, and install your own. Otherwise, it's not a bad starter PC at all.

 

Not in favor of that graphics card. I'd try swapping it out with an upgraded one, even a little older Nvidia will be better than that in my opinion.

 

Just out of curiosity, are you willing to try building your own PC? You may be able to do a little better with your bang-for-buck by doing that.

 

If you don't have experience building your own computer I'd stay away from doing that. Finding compatible parts, constructing it, and paying for the OS really isn't cheaper than buying premanafactured computers.

You'll get to customize it, but really all major computer companies can do this as well for you straight out of the factory.

 

Not a bad PC. Your only downfall is the gpu, but you can upgrade that with ease over time.

 

No sorry. that's shit, old graphics card with bad cpu but will do the job if you play on min.

 

Yeah I did some research and customized one with a better gpu. I just found this one on best buy and was just wondering .

 

Tbh Best Buy is overpriced on most things, I am almost certain you can get a cheaper one if you looked hard enough.

 

That GPU is very weak and old, released 2011. I'd recommend learning how to build a PC and go from there. You could probably build the one there for half the price.

If you aren't willing to build one, you could get some decent parts and find a local computer store who is willing to assemble it for you.

If you have a budget and what kind of FPS you're expecting on a certain game, i'll hook you up with a list of parts for your needs.

 

Varying on where you live, you can find some excellent deals on computers that are slightly less money and still better.

However, that is my local store. I have heard from a friend that their online customer-service is... lacking? But I do not know because I always go into the physical store.

Newegg has similar deals in your price range for better-speced systems.

 

That's completely untrue. It will pretty much always be cheaper to build it yourself. It's also very easy. A trained monkey could do it.

 

sapphirehd 7950 vapor x is a pretty beast GPU,im not sure if its compatible with other parts,but if it is then id recommend that
