I believe that is not a choice by any means. When did you wake up and say I think I will play runescape today. Our playtime is hardwired into our brain at birth and those that have runescape tendencies are born that way. As for the no its a choice argument with god involved if god did not love people who are
runescape players and never makes mistakes why would he make a person who would play games he hates. I am curious as to what the rest of you think.
Edit:For the record I am not a runescape player.

It's apparently an error in their genetic makeup while they're growing from an embryo. It's not their choice. Some people don't actually know. A lot of runescape players try their whole adolescent life to be normal, and just can't be no matter how hard they may try. So, technically it's not their fault.

A lot of runescape players talk the same way (somewhat like a woman), so that may be a key. There have been some that do choose to talk that way, even though that's a stupid excuse to try to fit into the majority of the crowd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that there was a study conducted at a university that found that the majority who do talk like that were given an extra Y chromosome. So, there again, it's not their choice or fault. I knew a runescape player for around 10 years, and he recently came out (although I knew he was always a runescape player by the way he talked and his actions), and he talked like the majority of the runescape population his whole life. Even before some unescape players know they're runescape players, they have the accent and it becomes more predominant as they age.

Although, I'm not a runescape player (not really needing to state that), I have nothing wrong with runescape players. Sexuality isn't really a choice, and it doesn't define character if you don't let it. If you're going to go out in skin tight leather pants sporting a flashy Lady Gaga shirt, be my guest. I'm not going to judge someone for how they dress, or their sexuality. Sadly, there's a whole world of ignorant people who will because they're afraid of the 'unknown.'

No, playing runescape is not a choice. In a modern world with games such as Guild Wars 2 nearly ready for release, these futile java based game's existence is based entirely on defective parents who allow their children to spend so much time on their computers, yet invest so little money on creating a computer fit for advanced gameplay, that their children are reduced to clicking once every 30 seconds all day every day until they become hollow shells of misery.
In extreme cases, parents have been found to chain their children to a computer possessing a 1GHz CPU and 512MB RAM and forcing them to constantly play runescape for as many as 16 hours a day, denying them the most basic human rights.
Playing runescape isn't a choice, it's a form of enslavement.

An essay on Runescape Cheating

To delve deeply into Runescape Cheating is an exciting adventure. Advancments in Runescape Cheating can be linked to many areas. Though Runescape Cheating is a favourite topic of discussion amongst monarchs, presidents and dictators, there are just not enough blues songs written about Runescape Cheating. It is estimated that that Runescape Cheating is thought about eight times every day by those most reliant on technology, who are yet to grow accustomed to its disombobulating nature. At the heart of the subject are a number of key factors. I plan to examine each of these factors in detail and and asses their importance.

Social Factors

As Reflected in classical mythology society is complicated. When Lance Bandaner said 'twelve times I've traversed the ocean of youthful ambition but society still collects my foot prints' [1] he saw clearly into the human heart. A childs approach to Runescape Cheating provides standards by which we may judge our selves.

Nothing represents every day life better than Runescape Cheating, and I mean nothing. Just as a dog will return to its own sick, society will return to Runescape Cheating, again and again.

Economic Factors

Economics has been defined as 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine.' To my learned ear that sounds like two people with itchy backs. Of course, Runescape Cheating fits perfectly into the Watkis-Teeth-Pulling model using the median instead of the mean, where possible.
Average
Wage

Runescape Cheating

The statistics make it clear that Runescape Cheating is a major market factor. It goes with out saying that the average wage is in financial terms 'holding hands with Runescape Cheating.' Assumptions made by traders have caused uncertainty amongst the private sector.

Political Factors

The media have made politics quite a spectacle. Comparing current political thought with that held just ten years ago is like comparing Runescape Cheating now, and its equivalent in the 1800s.

It is always enlightening to consider the words of jazz singer Francis Rock 'consciousness complicates a myriad of progressions.' [2] This quotation leads me to suspect that he was not unaccustomed to Runescape Cheating. It speaks volumes. If Runescape Cheating be the food of politics, play on.
I hope, for our sake that Runescape Cheating will endure.

Conclusion

We can say with certainty Runescape Cheating plays a large part in the lives of all. It inspires, invades where necessary and is a joy to behold.

The final say goes to the award winning Whoopi Schwarzenegger: 'I wouldn't be where I am today without Runescape Cheating.' [3]

Some people do it for attention you know. Parents neglect, no friends irl, so they play runescape so that maybe people will start to notice them. In fact there's also nothing wrong with a man playing as a female on rs and hooking up with guys. Jagex recognizes them as female, they look like a female, act like female, and everyone in world 1 varrock square will see them as female, so what's the problem?
Oh for the record i don't play runescape, js

The Runescape liberation foundation is an up and coming society designed to provide Runescape rehabilitation and Runescape Player's Rights to poor, deprived, or persons without a life subjected to the horrors of Runescape on a potentially daily basis.
With a small donation of only $5 you can:
Save a small asian lady from forced labor in a Runescape environment

YES!

The way I see it, Runescape players are animals, animals breed (male + female). But where Runescape players differ from the others is in the amount of influence they've created has on us. In recent times I think that's where the majority of it has come from; media desensitizes you to playing runescape, you become curious, you try it, you like, you become it.
But then again, both Zezima and Yogosun were known to have interests in Runescape, so there's probably more to it than just a societal influence. In fact, I'm sure there could be a whole range of factors for why someone would play Runescape, whether it be genetic, a choice, or a cry for attention.

A classic question :P

The way i see it... when we are born, we straight away start wanting to "Scape"
The young mind is something that can be easily molded, or "manipulated", Jagex are talented at this.

Think about this; if a boy spends 75% of his time with the computer, doing femanine type things... (not so much the boy, but, lets say, going to habbo hotel, going on maplestory, etc.) Don't you think there is a chance that the boy could have some mental retainment of a more runescape involved playstyle , inso telling himself that runescape is attractive...

I'm not genius, or anything close to it... and your theory is very good as well.

**Me, personally, am not a runescape player.
***However, I myself DID spend the majority of my younger days on runescape... So before you say "Oh Goon you're such a hypocrite!!", know that as i am not an Runescape player, i've always had a knack for style and wanting to match, being clean.. So as I am no way attracted to a that game, I am a pretty snazy dresser.

I don't understand your purported connection between femininity and Runescape Players. Your argument is illogical. How would spending a majority of time with computers induce Runescapeuality in a man? How would going on Habbo Hotel and Maplestory subliminally convince a young boy to be attracted to Runescape? Last I checked, RPGs aren't filled with shirtless pictures of Neil Patrick Harris. Would that mean that young girls who spent time around their dads would also have a greater chance of being Runescape players?

Being a runescape player isn't a choice. If you can't understand how someone could be a runescape player, how could you possibly choose to be a runescape player?
