is p2p pking ruined?

okay no flaming me. so im not a p2p pker or anything but i was wondering if the new ranging update has ruined members pking. i hear that at like 70 ranging u can do a 40 with the new crossbows and bolts. i mean a 40 at lvl like 50 or watever lvl it is for 70 ranging. that just seems really high. also how many pures actually use the rune crossbow with dragon bolts or watever lets you hit a 40 with ranging.

 

Well hopefully, jagex will eventually realise they completly overpowered the weapon and maybe tone it down a little so it isnt so unfair. But it hasnt ruined pking, because if your a good pker, you can beat almost anyone using any weapon

 

ya i guess but still if u have a dds and he has a rune crossbow he hits a 40 and u have to special to mabey hit a 40. it just seems like rangers will dominate the feild now. i hope they do turn it down or turn dds d scimmi whip and mage up.

 

Yea, Most of my friends that are pkers are Strength and Range pures now. I have 60 attack 79 (almost 80) Strength and 71 range. We all bought dark bows and stuff and 2 of us attack using melee while the other 3 use bows.
The new update has made me mills at the mage arena =D

iv got 67 range 45 prayer at lv 52 and i hit 40s with rune cb and dragon (e) bolts i guess for some people it would be ruined if there not range

Like Avalanche said if you are a good pker you can pk any1.

 

It hasn't changed anything. Rangers have been overpowered since rs2 came out... In RSC you couldn't even use range in combat. I have a lvl 57 dds pure, and a 64 range tank (around the lvls kids use range at). I don't have any problem killing rangers with my dds pure... x bows are somewhat slow.So at 2 hits of a crossbow I get 3 off with a d scimmy, and they have to saf e up before attemting to k0 because of DDS spec easily killing them at anywhere between 25-40 hits.

 

ya its uber out of proportion, but i use it to my adavantage lolz. i still think they should fix it to be fair.

 

Nah, Range is kind of over powered though.

 

k thats great to here ur opions and the range pures obviously u guys like it. well now i might make my f2p pure into a p2p but i still don't know.

 

it hasnt ruined pure pk'in in my opinion it just made it funner for rangers who would have trouble piercing armor and killin melee'ers before. In my opinion it made it fair by giving rangers that extra egde

 

If anything gets nerfed again I'm going to get really pissed for christ sakes jagex always makes something good then bam! it's nerfed. So what if people can kill super fast OMFG too fucking bad why don't you use it to then.

 

You need alot of money for the weapon, and also yes alot of pures use rune crossbows, not sure about the dragon bolts though, they use crossbows for k0

 

Thank you 1337 for actually makiing some sense! Those people who are complaining, stop. You could be using it yourself. It's not like only some select people can do it. If you train and make some money, then you could pk with a rune crossbow and dragon bolts.

 

i was fighting a lvl 48 and he hit a 27 on me with rune c'bow, i got the hell outta there

 

Rangers arent supposed to be hitting melee with freaking 50s... Pking Triangle Anyone? Totally corrupted. I fought a 83 Tanker. I think he was 70 def and 86 range. He was in torags helm, d hide, rune kite, with a rune c bow and drag e bolts. NOW every single hit he did on me was EITHER above 30 or a 0. <-- Thats some bullshit... He koed me to with a 46. I just thought to my self WTF?

 

One thing i can say, make a staker or make a range tank

 

Anyone that you can hit on yes, i have a level 66 that owns lvl 103s.
