Is luring allowed On sythe?

There are two types of luring, one is allowed one isn't.

Type 1

• Player A finds random A on RS
• Player A lures Random A into wildy
• Kills, takes item

Type 2

• Player A finds Sythe member A
• Persuades him to go into wild/dung whatever lure via social engineering
• Kills, takes items
• Has effectively scammed
• Banned on Sythe

What if those lines were replaced with
Player A finds random A on RS
Player A lures Random A into daemonheim and social engineers to drop items, etc
no killing involved, teles and takes dropped items

or this scenario:
Player A finds random A on RS
Player A scams random A through hosting a hot cold game and appearing legit for small bets but scamming the big bet
scams the item and logs

So long your finding random people on RS and not targeting people Via sythe, its fine.

 

If it's set up purely on Runescape then it's fine and is part of the game. If you target someone from Sythe specifically then it's not.

 

Oh i see i always thought if you scam a random, non sythe user on runescape and someone here on Sythe found out about it, you would be banned from Sythe as well.

 

Luring is different from scamming. Scamming would be hosting gambling and stealing money etc whereas luring is using game tactics and is a part of the game and the game's purpose.

It's kind of a gray area and would most likely be judged on a case to case basis.

 

As long as it's not a sythe user that you've targeted to your knowledge you're in the clear.

 

Thanks RwmRs2 but how can you say their different?
I know what you mean but what about lures like the daemonheim one , and peach and key lures. Those don't even involve combat and dont really require tactics, just out right lying. And i feel like if luring could be considered a "tactic" hosting a flower game and scamming the bet could be considered a "tactic" too since you could use numerous ways to appear legit or try to appear legit.

I guess wilderness luring could be part of the games purpose but other lures like the clan wars safe portal "lure" or even purple portal aren't really the purpose of the game I think.
How the purple portal works is you trick someone into going there. They didn't design the purple portal to be used for luring, they designed it with the intention that people entering it would be aware they are losing their items if they die.
