Because luring is based on one's stupidity. All they do is get you to risk your items, once you walk passed the portal/line, it's out of your free will.

You should know that there is a risk and you can get killed when it shows the sign "All items are dropped on Death". Luring is basically getting someone to risk their bank, it's their choice whether they choose to or not.

 

Isn't getting scammed also based on ones stupidity?

You thought you can trust the person but it turns out you where stupid enough to trust him and he scams you.

 

Well honestly its mostly common sence. Most people who get lured are bribed by money and people who are to greedy they will go anywere for money.

 

Why does it have to be greed? If some one offers you something for free and you follow for it is that always/truly greed? A lot of lurers pretend to be your bestest buddy. Hell you might of even been on there friendslist for a year.

 

It's something completely different. One is based on greed and stupidity (luring). The other is based on trust. When a new person trades someone on Sythe and go first, they go first because they trust the other party.

If you watch a few luring videos, you will see that the person luring drops 10K more. Now it's the person who is being lured's choice whether he wants to run off into a place where he will risk and most likely lose everything for the RSGP that he thinks is more.

You don't do it because "oh I trust this guy because he drops coins on the ground, he cannot kill me because he's a low level".

 

It's the idiots fault who gets lured, the person that gets lured is most likely not from Sythe so it's not scamming.

 

luring takes alot more skill then scamming does

 

As far as I know luring isn't against runescape rules, so why should it be against a runescape cheating forum's rules?

I haven't been lured before but i've been scammed a couple of times. And i have to admit the reason that i was scammed was because i trusted the other user. So perhaps i'm stupid enough to trust him so i deserve to get scammed too?

What has being stupid have to do with deserving to get lured/scammed. it doesn't make sense and never will.

 

I'm pretty sure it is a rule, I remember it being reportable, not sure if its still reportable though.

A friend, someone trusted and reputable on this black market, told me that pmods have been caught luring. They haven't been banned and neither were their ranks removed.

It would be outright stupid if it was reportable. It was your choice to run into the danger zone where you risked and could lose all your items. All the lurer did was talk and drop cash there and watched. The other just happened to see a target and killed them.

 

luring just doesn't break any rules. its not like they use a program to lure you into the wildy.

 

Scamming and luring are both crookery in it's lowest form.

Funny to see what would happen if someone posted a picture of a 1b+ lure on here, and It was a Sythe Mod. And, there is luring without being stupid... I know people that had friends on rs for years.. but they got greedy and lured/scammed them. Sad, but true.

they can't do much about it, the won't take clan wars away.
jagex can't see if some1 is stupid enough to enter the dangerous area and then die with many mills.
and if they made that option in the report abuse, then people could also fake it to get people they hate banned.
