Despite the Snapdragon being released in 2013-2014, it scores remarkably well against the 2015-2016 Apple A10. The battery in the Nexus 6 also has about twice the capacity of the iPhone 7, though the iPhone itself likely (admittedly) uses less juice. The talk times listed by GSMarena show the Nexus 6 to have about twice the possible duration though. The Nexus also sports a whole GB more RAM than the 7. The NFC on the 7 is also for Apple Pay only (big surprise). Keep in mind that this is not even the newest Nexus.

Just like CPUboss and other automated comparison websites, these things are complete garbage and don't equate to a real world comparison.

Of course call times are higher. Calls don't run the more power hungry display or put the powerhungry snapdragon cpu beyond idle so a larger capacity battery will always win here.
You'd want an actual real world battery test.

It's still a dumb comparison, hate on Apple for the right reasons.

 

Are you sure you want to list the Xperia? It's notoriously bad at water resistance, countless phones have died in mere inches of water let alone it's rating.

I'm not sure about how Samsung managed to do it but they're apparently the only company to do it well so far with a headphone jack, almost every other phone has come significantly short.

 

What's your definition of a "real world comparison"? Benchmarks are done exactly for the purpose of testing these things for comparisons

 

Well for one it doesn't take into account throttling.
Apple chips run much cooler and almost never throttle, same can not be said for qualcom chips, especially more modern ones.

I don't understand why people attack Apple for their hardware. You should be attacking Apple for design decisions, business practice, etc...
They have done a lot to hate about, removal of headphone jacks, one usb type C on a fucking 1400 dollar laptop, soldering the battery to a fucking laptop, not letting non official apple techs work on computers.

I personally like apple products, having owned many, but they continue to lose appeal with their consumers. I don't understand the purpose in making the phone thinner than it already is, unless of course they found a way to make things more convenient cost wise for them (they did) and not for the person who buys the phone. A phone jack is a staple when we talk about the construct of any phone.

 

Or mobile devices in general.

I mean go back to the gameboy advance SP, the removal of the headphone jack on that device was so disapproved that they promptly brought it back on the DS.

Got my iPhone SE today meh this thing is fast ,compared to my iPhone 5 the SE blows it out of the park. Speed, Battery, Camera A+++

 

Won't be getting it but I love anything wireless. I can't stand wired headphones. I've pulled my laptop off the desk one too many times because I forgot I was wearing wired headphones... Even now that I have wireless headphones I still have anxiety when I get up from my desk lol.

Waste of money IMO. You would be a lot better off with an Android. Apple products suck now adays. A Galaxy s6 or s7 would be much more durable.
