Insayn3 Please note I also apparently have a profile "Leopardly" which was created when I was having issues recovering my Insayn3 account (after a long period of inactivity in which my account details were lost). The "request a password" option when logging in was straight up not working. The aforementioned profile "Leopardly" was created multiple years ago, well before the incident which lead to my ban and as such in no way, shape, or form was it an attempt at ban-evading. I just wanted to read the forums while my main account couldn't be accessed.
Report/post/reason that got you banned:
insayn3 & leopardly The short of it was a chargeback on paypal that was reversed and the seller was more than adequately compensated.
Proof of contacting victims for repayment or repayment of victims:
Here is proof that I personally cancelled the unauthorized activity claim.
Here is the original thread put up by the seller of the account that I purchased:
http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo...ndaries-all-bis-3x-condordance-elite-pvp.html
And here is the account being sold by the buyer after being recovered (after the chargeback attempt, of course). You'll notice the stark similarities between the two threads/accounts. Also note that the date of this account being posted for sale was less than 24 hours after the scam report was posted. It was sold less than a week later.
[Selling] 932 Rogue / 14 Legendaries (ALL BIS) / "THE CHOSEN" / Elite PvP Gear / CHEAP!
Here is him admitting that the account is no longer in my possession and that he has it. Also note, that I purchased a Paladin from him in the past and he wanted me to give him the Paladin in order to get the Rogue back despite him keeping the money. I stopped responding at this point because, frankly, the guy was power tripping and I knew the account would never be really safe to use going forward. I just wiped my hands of the entire matter in order to move on.
Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now:
Absolutely nothing. I have consistently been a positive, albeit not so active member of this community since joining. My relationship with Runescape as a whole is very on-again, off-again and as such my relationship with Sythe is much of the same.
Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:
So, to start things off this entire transaction involved the purchase of a fairly desirable World of Warcraft account. It was desirable mainly because this is when Rogues were absolutely positively mandatory for serious progression raiding. My class, DK, was just short of completely useless and as an adult with full-control over my finances I decided to put money into getting a rogue. I had purchased accounts from the seller before and he always delivered a great product and great experience. He used one of my feedback comments as the "guide" for others leaving feedback. We had a solid relationship.
Upon purchasing the Rogue account for $925, I sent an additional $50 "tip" along with it because I haggled pretty hard with him and again, we had a solid buyer/seller relationship and this account was a much larger deal to me than the extra $50. Fast forward a few months and I put an additional ~$750 into the account via raid carries, M+ carries, etc. The account was very heavily geared up and was one of the most geared rogues on the server.
Unfortunately, as life sometimes does, a promotion + some troubles at home hit me all at once so my time to play WoW diminished to the point where all the gear in the world couldn't make up for the fact that I literally couldn't log in to play the game. The seller will typically buy back accounts (at a loss to the buyer, of course) as his whole deal is buying and selling. Despite hinting that he would after "moving a few other accounts" he eventually declined. He also said that if I tried to sell the account myself that the "warranty" would be gone and that if it was recovered/banned/the "original owner" took it back he couldn't be held liable. This makes sense from the sellers perspective but it put me, the original buyer, in a precarious position. Essentially I was stuck with an account I couldn't resell with full faith that it wouldn't be recovered (which I have absolutely no interest in doing), worth well over $1000, and completely unable to play the game.
Eventually it got to the point where he offered to sell the account for me and I would give him a cut of whatever he ended up selling it for. I went above and beyond and prepared the account for sale, put a bunch of gold on it as well as wrote the entire thread up in the style he used for his threads so all he had to do was literally copy and paste it to put it up for sale. Weeks went by and excuse after excuse of why he couldn't put it up and communication deteriorated and eventually became virtually non-existent.
This is when I made one of the dumbest moves of my entire adult life. I work in finance and pulling this move "in real life" would result in my immediate termination as well as likely a legal inquiry so I have no idea why I did what I did. I fully admit to charging back the paypal transaction knowing full well that the seller would then just take the account back (at the time it was worth more than what it was sold for) and we would go our separate ways. I was absolutely in the wrong and I absolutely admit that.
Not so fast. The seller was predictably upset and reported me. I messaged the moderators on ownedcore stating that I absolutely did what he said and that I was fine with the ban. The seller then proceeded to doxx me and got my personal phone number, found me and my family on facebook, my girlfriends contact information, etc. over the course of a few hours after the initial charge-back. I dropped the charge-back before he got any of my families information but proceeded to use it anyways. Despite him claiming he "beat" my chargeback, I dropped it because it was a move that was completely out of character for me and it just felt plain shitty. None of my family members contacted cared in the slightest and my girlfriend is a Fed so I have his information on record if he decides to ever contact me again.
After the charge-back attempt, he took the account back and re-sold it to someone else. I had enough information about the account to get it permanently banned but I decided to let bygones be bygones and just let it go.
The summarize, after the charge-back occurred and was canceled by me shortly after, the seller went above and beyond to try to intimidate me. I admitted and continue to admit my fault but the seller was absolutely "made-whole" above and beyond what was required.
The seller:
I'm just looking to get my Sythe account back because it's a place that, while I visit it fairly infrequently, I enjoy visiting and contributing from time to time. I rarely "donate" to a site but I was comfortable doing so with Sythe since it has provided me a lot of amenities over the past 7 or so years that my account was active.
Obviously, I hope you will take everything stated above into consideration when looking over my pardon.
I appreciate your time and apologize for the essay.

The seller:
- Kept the $975 total for the account
- Recovered and took the account back
- Re-Sold the account (basically double-dipped)
