Regarding that, is not everything we have discussed nonexistent? Because we are on the internet, and it is not reality or is it? If you agree to that wouldn't this then mean you where kidding yourself about nonexistent entities thus contridicting yourself.

Using the words illogical or irrational will not work, because logical proof is irrelevent. And, I am not trying to convince you God exists, I am presenting my beliefs. I highly doubt I could ever convince you of anything with the way you are writing.

 

I love all this random talk of "rational validity" on Sythe. You either believe in Christ, and that he died for you because he loves you and wants to spend his life with you, or you can just try and prove God wrong by having "creative discussions". There's not much to it.

For a rational man's own safety, he has to reject notions that he cannot comprehend, so as to save his brain; he has no choice but to question them otherwise. A man with faith accepts all notions that he cannot comprehend and leaves them be.

 

Who stays up at night and thinks of rational validity or irrational citizens ? I'd much prefer to go out with friends than tell people why my opinions are perfect. We all have our opinions and beliefs. And why would omnipotence be an impossible attribute? How can we proof something much greater than anything we can even think of? It's like trying to teach an ant to speak English.

 

If God wasn't real how was the first matter and energy created? Since, in science, they state that matter cannot be created or destroyed.

 

Ah, I see. So, if I present an argument to you and I have proof which is "valid" in our discussion, then I am right. I see .. where you have made your mistake. "Are correct by the objective measure of absolute truth". What is the "objective measure"? In using the concept of absolute truth, you would state that you honestly knew the "REAL" truth and that what you were saying was right, not by any human knowledge standards, but by the ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

To try and make a measure that would identify absolute truth, and then succeeding(Which is basically what you're doing..Otherwise their would be no answer), you are presenting, not purposely, but nontheless, that you are perhaps .. Some kind of deity. Having absolute knowledge is a contradiction of knowing something.

Your answer is not technically, but logically, wrong. Sorry, but I have valid rational argument. I also, though not required, I suppose, have arguable proof as to why I am right. Am I right?

Of course I am. It never crossed my mind that absolute truth could be determined to something like debate .. However, how could absolute truth not exist, if we've been debating about that same thing? Like you said, my true may be your false. Coming into existence would make it real, to me. You may not be looking at it from a logical perspective .. Would is why what seems "valid" to me does not to you. Either that, or there's just another person in the world who wouldn't look at the other side of the story for the perspective, and be so quick as to make a claim or contradiction about how their wrong.

I think he is trying to convey that since he does it, everone else does as well. At least, this would allign with the rest of his arguments.
