I agree with you, as I to am an old player. I suggest if you joined post wilderness removment, you had watch some old videos on youtube, or just ask around. You may not like what you hear/see. With that being said, you may love it. It just depends on how much you use the currently wildly I guess.

Side note: When I joined, the all the icons for the inventory's and such were like the picture posted below, I joined back in 04. I first joined sythe back in 2005 when I heard about bots. Made my account and forgot the pass, wished I coulda remembered it. ( I predate barrows aswell)

Edit: I don't even think I have any pictures left from as early as you're talking about. I remember a lot of people being pissed off about the changes in the friend/ignore faces.

 

This post pretty much said almost all of what i experienced, buying DDs 20k each, selling 30k each at edge.

Buying TONS, talking MILLIONS of runes 3-4 gp under like water, airs, nats, etc. Selling 8-10 more than they bought for. I miss those times.

Also when I MAHATMA I and KIDZ RANQE were the best pkers, along with MAIKEL PRO. We need this rs back.

Tbh, 1st thing im gona do is pking UNSKULLED with z helm, dfs, bandos tasset, bandos pl8, d boots, and whip/dds.
With my protect item on, il only lose 700k if i die in that gear

I was playing back before the wildy was removed and the trade limit was put in place, and I liked it a lot more than the current wilderness.

I suppose it is personal preference on what you like better.

 

I was there for the old days, and I really don't think you guys who were there also will have much of an advantage of the newer pkers. Yes the drops will be different, but what will be different about the fighting? Only thing now is a lot of people will be losing their best Item from getting smited.

 

But that is the thing, back in the day there were big losses but there were also big gains.

Now there can be little losses and big gains or big losses and little gains.

It is stupid.

 

I was thinking about that as well. I'm so excited All the newfags on my list are about to get wrecked.

i miss those old icons! i forgot what they looked like and i could not find any pics. im also a old rs player. i was one of the only few that had a working lvl 3 rsc account befor they allowed you to play.
