I'm a nice guy. I believe that is why I have never been in a relationship, there are plenty of other guys that have been inna relationship in my school, and it really hurts my self confidence that I'm one of the only non-"players" that all the girls supposedly hate, and they all love the non"players", yet I'm just about the only one as they all say. I've been told by at least 20girls I'd make the perfect boyfriend. About 5-7 of them I've tried to actually date (not at the same time, mind you, I don't constantly look for relationships). I really don't see what I'm doing wrong here, I guess girls (when youre younger (I'm 14)) don't really make good decisions I guess. Thanks to whoever actually reads this and gives advice, I feel I just needed to vent, but advice and support is extremely appreciated. Have a good day.

 

Hey man, if your only 14, don't worry about it. I know it sucks to be told that girls will be important later on in life, and that you should concentrate on other more important things. But its true, I was in your shoes not so long ago, a relationship seems important, but you're only 14 you have a long long long long long long long time to worry about things like this.

I am sensing that the greater picture of this thread is that you're a virgin and you see all of your friends around you growing, and leaving their virginity behind. Sex isn't everything, in fact it can add a lot of unneeded stress and complication to your life. Focus on your studies, let life take its course.

Ahh the nice guy dilemma. I too have problems with that. Basically younger girls like the allure of the "bad boy" but they don't realize that those guys are douchebags and keep getting hurt from them. While there's always going to be the girls that would rather be with a hard ass then someone that cares, you have to realize that these girls probably aren't the types of girls you'd want to be with anyway. While it may be hard to find them, waiting for the girl that appreciates you for who you are and the fact that you won't hurt them will be worth it.

He summed it up pretty nice. You're only 14, you still have a long way to go like Lordhooters stated. Girls are not everything, I was in your position up until my junior year in high school but just be yourself and don't try to be anything else, eventually you will find someone. Make really close friends who are girls, make them laugh and just hang out with them more (without trying to actually 'flirt'), eventually they will realize you are a great guy and will choose you over anyone. Studies and grades are what's important and it's what will be a deciding factor on whether you get into a great college, or a mediocre one! Once you finish college and apply for a job, employers will be impressed if you graduated from a top ranking college.

 

Well, all I can say that at your age you should concentrate on building up a huge knowledge base rather then trying to think about all that silly stuff. Don't forget about being communicative as well, but it's really a matter of time for finding a good girlfriend. I myself had similar problems, but I studied hard, had my knowledge base built up and now I can probably go to any girl and she'll like me, just because I'm not a jerk and I look like someone she can have fun with. Just don't think about it much at the moment. It's just waste of your time.

 

I have trouble understanding your problem, but remember that "nice guys finish last." Just wait for the right girl to come by and everything will be fine. Stay focused on what really matters at this age and not girls. You'll be okay mate.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't be worrying too much at your age. The right girl will come when she does. It's good that people have acknowledged you as a "good guy" that to me is worth more than any string of failed relationships that the 'players' have had.

 

But watch out.
One day, some jerkasshole faggot will come out of nowhere, and your girlfriend may fall for him because he's a bad boy.

It's sorta true.

The problem is, for the most part nice guys are generally smarter, and will go on to have a nice life etc. The bad guys generally aren't as smart, and will go on to have not so good a life.

It's hard to find an equilibrium between both, however don't worry. Your 14, wait till your 16 or 17 xD.

Don't change into a dick just because its not working out for you right now. In the end nice guys get nice girls and dick guys get divorced after a year or two.

 

I'm taking an extra year of highschool for a few extra credits (technically grade 13) and I'm currently going out with the first girl I've been serious with (as in, never been passed a first date until this girl). I'm a nice guy too, and felt alone all throughout highschool, but all these other guys are right. In the end you'll find someone better than a cum dumpster and instead of the relationship lasting a couple weeks, it'll last you months, even years.

In terms of sluts, nice guys finish last. In terms of stable, healthy relationships, we always win. Good luck to you mate, you just gotta wait it out until you find the right one.
