No, you sir are a fucking idiot. Do you know what the NDAA is? It allows Oblackieama to call into effect Martial Law.. Try doing your homework a little bit.. And to the idiot who posted earlier about southern states being racist, have you seen Obama's recently approval rating? If he gets reelected this country as we know it, is fucked..

The thread is called IP Act. Not SOPA. And all SOPA does is allow null routing and gives hosts the ability to shut down sites, as TheBlackTux has stated.

I'm pretty sure this is plagiarism, which is, "Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as the "wrongful appropriation," "close imitation," or "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," which is the definition from wikipedia. And FYI cases of plagiarism can involve liability for copyright infringement.

You're correct I was only using it as an example for people to get a better grasp of what this act will do. to put it better.

When a company\director etc. make a movie they have documentation so that no one can copy their idea's etc. [ plagiarism.] So they can sell their product. But sites offer you free access to this which break these laws unfortunately as we all know the internet has no law, and unless you are physically caught [hard drive information etc.] then there is nothing that can be done. So what this act is trying to do is stop people from being able to create sites like this in the US in hopes it will help bring back money to actors\musicians etc. that they lose out on because most people think with the logic "If its free, why buy it?"

I hope this is a better example and sorry for any miss understandings.

No problem, thanks for clarifying. :) Just to add onto this, what happened to the musicians that said music should be free for everyone.. I guess that's what we get for all the teenage girls liking people like Kanye West..

If it does get signed I'll give it a year max until it is removed or modified. Too many people will be mad, riots, controversy, economic problems, blah blah ect ect
