I was banned for botting while playing legit.... Need help getting back on

I know this seems very unlikely, but let me just say I was playing legitimately and have never, ever botted while playing RS, both on the EOC servers and these. I gain nothing from lying on an internet forum, but I desperately need some help.

So I was playing on the old servers yesterday, picking flax since I just started and I needed to make some money. About 10 minutes in, I was banned probably due to a J-Mod mass banning bots. Let me make it quite clear, I was not botting myself and was there for a small amount of time. I thought nothing of it, I'll just send an appeal and come back a couple of hours.

It's been over 40 hours and my appeal's been denied with no response from any of my emails to account help. Is there any way to contact a J-Mod ingame or something because this is quite ridiculous.

Also, it's been nearly 2 days and still nothing. Should I just spam all their customer support emails until one of them responds?

 

Seems strange, why would they ban someone without making sure they are botting first.

 

When they mass ban bots, they don't usually look at the logs or detection and just go for anyone who looks like they're botting and since it was a low level with no armour it fits the bill.

What was strange though was that there was no warning, nothing in the chat like they usually do. I noticed there were only like 2-3 bots which means they were definitely just targeting flax bots at the time.

 

Try parents@jagex and explain your situation, might be worth a shot.

Because they are lazy. It would cost them too much to find out who is actually botting, so they just ban everyone.

what was your in game name? was it a bot like name ?

 

Were you in World 329 at the time...

 

Update: Apparently it's happened today to a lot of players at popular bot spots such as yews, catherby and flax.

It's also happened to some people questing and slaying, so it might be faulty bot detection as well. Loads of complains on the RS forums right now.

 

That's your problem for botting. I wasn't though.

 

Appealing to Jagex is like slamming your head against a wall. Frustrating, but just keep emailing them at the parents line and it should get sorted. If they really did mess up they might reconsider all the bans.

 

I just got banned at yews. I was wearing full wizzy g, dragon axe, and was literally talking in a cc AND a friend when the ban hit, mid conversation, 0 botting on that account, ever. Up yours jagex.

 

I've botted loads on my OSRS account, no problems. Just avoid mainstream stuff guys.
